I really wanted to love this facility, but after years of on and off membership, it's become obvious this place just isn't a good fit for our family. For one, membership is very expensive. For 2 adults and 1 child, it's close to $150/month, which we were willing to pay for the nice, clean pool, childcare, and fitness equipment. However, because of the number of classes this facility provides, access to the pool is VERY limited. My daughter and I only have a small amount of time during the week when we can come here to swim, but unfortunately, the pool is reserved for classes during those times. I understand that folks who sign up for classes deserve their time in the pool as well, but holy moly, the open/rec swim times are so narrow, it was clear to us that we would never be able to use the pool here at all. Not only that, child care at this location is limited during the school year, so we began coming earlier so that my daughter could play while I went for a 30 minute jog, then go to the pool, but, you guessed it -- the pool's closed until 1 pm. Basically. we would have to plan our entire day to take advantage of the narrow window when child care is available right before the pool opens for rec swim, and that didn't sit right with us. The classes are a source of income for this center, so I doubt things are going to change any time soon, but maybe one day, that nice pool will become more accessible to members of the community, especially if they're paying a whole lot of money to use it.
