Great starts to workout daily.
Enjoyed the historic challenge.
Long staircase connecting Capitol Hill with Lake Union. Great place to do stair climbing.
Great popular workout area. Not the easiest to find if you're a newbie. Interesting view of I5, space needle, Seattle Center, Fremont bridge from East side.
13 flights of stairs gives a good workout!
Long. Long. And more long. If you're looking for endless stairs to train on this is a great option!
I handstand climb the stairs three times a day. Better every time.
The front desk staff are friendly :)
Unless you fall behind on dues...

This refers typically to the stretch between Lakeside Boulevard right at I-5 to 10th Avenue East at the top. The stairs are comprised of 13 flights totaling 272 steps. This is the busiest staircase for workout folks while just to the South are the Blaine Street stairs which are steeper and each step is a little bit deeper but the Blaine stairs remain far less traveled than the Howe Street stairs.

Training for the Big Climb on March 25th. These stairs are an excellent training place
Great place for a stair climbing working. Nice view of the lake too.
I believe these are the longest stairs in Seattle. They connect Eastlake to North Capitol Hill and are used by most for fitness.
Can get busy especially on weekends. Good for anyone looking to get a great workout regardless of fitness level. Most people are considerate but you do have some oblivious groups that walk side by side making it difficult to pass. Amazing views of Lake Union, the Olympics, and downtown although the Blaine stairs one block south have better views.
The section from Lakeview to 10th Ave is about 275 stairs. The section through the colonnade park brings the total to well over 300 stairs.
Love running these stairs with clients. They're in the city, challenging, and frequented by friendly people always offering encouraging words.
Great stairs to run for a good work out.
These stairs are brutal! A great place to get in a workout.
