It's hard to express enough gratitude Guru Gayatri Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Sada Simran and the rest of the staff are incredibly powerful teachers. My experiences at this studio were nothing short of life changing, I found the healing I had been looking for. The classes I experienced were deeply meditative and transformative. The classes are well run, the studio is kept very clean and the space always feels warm and inviting.
Simply, it's the Yoga of Awareness. It's all about "uniting finite with Infinity and it's the art to experience Infinity in the finite." It's fun! metaphorically, its a science experiment. You'll do a series of actions (known as 'Kriyas') and movements that will provide a result, you lie down for a few listening to some great music (mantras) by Kundalini teacher, then you sit tall and do a meditation exercise with either some chanting (good for the heart) or breathing practices. Give it a shot, and make it fun. good luck

Cannot recommend enough. An amazing experience and I am fully addicted. It is so nice for beginners. You can go in not having a clue what to do and feels like you've been doing it your entire life! Amazing teacher and an amazing group. Do yourself a favor and go :)

Kundalini Yoga is surprisingly different than other yogas. The yoga center Guru Gayatri focuses on the whole system- mind, body and spirit to a great effect. In addition to targeted yoga poses, there is an emphasis on meditation and breathing exercises. Lots of conscious breathing. As a Vipassana meditator, I recognized the immediacy and effectiveness of Kundalini yoga, and am now a regular practitioner. Highly recommend.
