The great group of people here creates a fantastic and welcoming family environment. The professor is not only highly skilled, but incredibly kind and genuine. Highly recommend!

The amount on injuries this gym produces is staggeringly high. What's worse is most of them are easily avoidable(don't go 100% if you barely know technique). I cannot speak for the other elite gyms but at this one in particular the instruction was mediocre and rushed. Little emphasis was put on technique and everyone seemed more focussed on sucking up to the head instructor. I honestly just felt like another dollar sign here and never got good instruction except for the no gi classes which is why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1

That's the place I call home: the place where the spirit and the body get challenged every day and grow up; the place where I come in tired and frustrated and get out exhausted, happy and satisfied; my daily therapy.
Professor Miriam Cardoso is a 5-time world Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion: she won her first Nationals in 2001 just after 3 months of training, she then won nationals 7 times after that and in 2002 she began competing at the world level. In 2004 her world-winning career launched, taking first place 5 times over the next 4 years.
But being a world class competitor doesn't always translate into being a good instructor. Fortunately, Professor Miriam is also world class in this way and that reflects with the vibe and the kind of people that regularly train there: all very friendly, humble and respectful.
The gym has also a very strong family feel: trainings happen in friendly environments whether you're a competitor or someone that is just looking to get in shape. All Professors have world-class knowledge and aren't afraid to share.
You can tell and feel their passion for training as well as a skill to pass it on.
When I original started I didn't know how the experience was going to be; after two years not only I train there regularly 6 days a week but my wife and my two kids also joined me in this journey thanks to the very strong family-feel and amazing training provided!

Top notch teachers, always willing to let you ask questions after class and give you personalized tips on how to improve.

Coaches are great but the business had a split a while back -- pretty unprofessional and extremely difficult to cancel membership.

Truly great school and team! Miriam is a world class competitor, and an excellent, patient teacher. In addition, there are plenty of friendly intermediate belts that are happy to help beginners like myself. The facilities are nice / clean / modern and the membership system is well managed. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to train in BJJ!

Our five-year-old son tried a number of different sports, and quickly grew bored with all of them. Then he started at Elite with Miriam, and everything changed. He loves it there, Miriam is excellent with kids, patient and kind but also firm when it comes to following the rules. She gets the balance just right. Highly recommended!
