Yes, it can be intimidating. Yes, it can be challenging. And YES, it is FUN! I look forward to going to NWCF all the time. Going to NWCF has become my "happy hour." The coaching staff and members are very supportive and encouraging. The coaches take the time to go over the movements at the beginning of each workout and stress proper technique and form, which incredibly important. Not every gym will do that for you. They take an interest in the personal progression of each athlete and help tailor workouts or movements for each individuals athlete's ability levels. The atmosphere is goal-oriented and makes you strive to give it your all each workout.
Becoming a part of the NWCF community has been very rewarding. I have met and made many new friends. Everyone cheers you on and encourages you to give it all you got and congratulates you on achievements and workout milestones. Before workouts start, everyone is chatting and laughing and there are many social activities outside of the gym. You don't get this kind of personal connection at your standard cookie-cutter gym.
Crossfit can be intense, but has been one of the most rewarding activities I have ever done. Frankly, one of my top 3 best decisions I have made in 2014. It has not only strengthened and shaped my physical self, but my inner confidence as well. You will learn and do things you thought you couldn't possibly do. It is an incredible feeling when you look back on your progress. I keep coming back for more and so glad that I have become a part of the NWCF community.
