My daughter started going to Epic 4 months ago and I am very glad that we came! It is our first experience with competitive cheerleading. The coaches and owners do a wonderful job working with the children and they make everyone feel like they are family... I love that.
I bought a spring special for my daughter thinking this was a good idea. I had some questions so I emailed them. No response for weeks. So I thought I would call. Every time I called there was no answer. This happened multiple times on different days. We had a much busier spring than expected so I never got to take my daughter in for the classes. I received an email months after purchasing the special asking if I still wanted my daughter to attend. I said no, mostly due to the seriously lack of communication I had experienced. I also asked for a refund. That was almost 3 weeks ago now and still no response. This place looks so good on the outside but I have had nothing but unanswered questions and phone calls. I haven't even made it in the doors yet but it seems that this place is poorly managed. Still waiting on that refund......or a simple email.
Update 7/5/17 - I received an email a couple days after I posted this review and they gave me a refund in a timely manner. I have added a star due to this.
My daughter and I both love this gym, and I'm so glad that we found Epic when we moved back to Hampton Roads and looked for a cheer gym in the area. The atmosphere and the people are so warm and welcoming, the staff is professional and knowledgeable, and my daughter (and I) have made great friends here! Epic Cheer and Dance is not just a cheer gym, it is a family.
I was lookng for a gym that would accept my daughter and I; they welcomed us in with open arms. We travel about 35-40mins to get to the gym every week, but they are absolutley worth it.
