I complained to my doctor that my neck and shoulders hurt 24/7. It had been going on for months. He said it was due to me recently joining a gym and to change the exercises I was doing there. I did, but it didn't help. I complained some more. And some more. Finally he recommended Restorative Therapy. I was skeptical, but I was willing to try anything for relief.
Becca diagnosed that it was my work position at my desk all day that was causing the problem. She set me up with a 6-week course of exercises, coming back once a week so she could check on my progress. I felt a bit foolish trying to start some yoga exercises at 50+ years old and 50+ pounds overweight. But I did them. AND IT WORKED. Zero pain in my neck and shoulders.
I was so happy I put her to work on the arthritis in my lower back. Pain that some days radiates down my hips and legs. Another set of exercises that has me rolling around on the floor trying to be stretch armstrong - AND THEY WORK.
