I have been going to the Lynnhaven for almost my whole life and I have been in xeal and I am moving over to the Chesapeake gym and both the gyms are amazing and very clean and everyone is very nice
Great place for beginners and anyone interested in competing.
I do not recommend going here. The gym is extremely dirty and not very clean. But the main thing is the kids will tease you if you are different. They literally took my phone when I was recording something and missed the actual part when I did the skill and it was the best one I did in my whole life compared to the other fulls I did in my whole life. They also took every single mat I was using for stuff that really didn't need a mat they asked if anyone was using this and I told them I was. They said is any good tumblers using it then they kicked me off. ONE OF THE MOST RUDE THINGS I HAVE EVER HEARD. There are also always little kids running around so it makes it so that I can't do any tricks without some kid getting in the way. There were also people who would always cut me in line and when I told the staff they did nothing. When I told them I was here first they said exactly, "like you're gonna do anything!" Then went before I did. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE GO TO HURRICANE GYMNASTICS IF YOU CAN IT IS MUCH MORE RESPECTFUL, CLEANER, THE COACHES ARE BETTER AND THEY HAVE GOOD OPEN GYM. Oh yeah and OT gymnastics doesn't have a foam pit and it's spring floor is less than 80 or 90 feet in diameter. I RECOMMEND ANY OTHER GYM I AM NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!

Overall, this place has great equipment and staff. There are no problems with the staff members or instructors. They know what they are teaching and they do it well. While the parking can get a little hectic, they have nice classes for people to attend gymnastics in different time slots on different days. The reason why it got 3 stars is because of the sanitation. The smell of the place in my opinion is unbearable and if you aren't used to the smell, it's going to take some time to get used to. As well as the smell, the equipment doesn't look like it is properly sanitized and disease and parasites such as head lice could easily spread at a rapid pace. There isn't enough cleansing of equipment after sessions. The floors at least look like they have been swepped, the sanitation problem consits solely on the equipment. Its not like the equipment is visibly dirty, its the bacteria. The proper sanitation isn't being met like using disenfectant spray on a regular basis. In the end, it's a nice place to go to if you enjoy gymnastics, but just watch out for the smell and poor sanitation.

I have had the best experience here my coach has taught me so much I only had my backhand spring the first time I went and I got my round off back tuck the same day!
Watch out for the head lice. I never see anyone using Lysol or wiping down the mats and equipment when the classes finish. God forbid some kid comes to tumble with open sores and a virulent case of MRSA.
I go here every monday and they taught me stuff no gym could so over all great great gym and great coaches!
My daughter has been at OT for 4 years. First in rec classes and now on the XCEL team. Wonderful coaches and families!
My daughter and I visited Virginia for about 10 days. During that time I enrolled her in Ocean Tumblers Tot's Camp. Ava woke up every morning that week and wanted to go to camp. Ava had so much fun that she asked to go back the next week. She especially liked her teacher Katelyn who was patient and nice. She also gained many skills that week and was able to do some of them at home.
The facility was absolutely beautiful and organized. It was also extremely clean. I appreciated that the bathrooms were newly remodeled and beautiful. There also was air conditioning throughout the building which is really nice on those hot days. The front desk staff was courteous and were able to answer my questions about the programs that they offered at the gym. There is plenty of parking in the lot so we were able to get to class on time. I recommend Ocean Tumblers because of the quality programs they offer, professionalism of the staff, and my daughter just loved coming to this gymnasium.
