Decent place, just needs a bit of cleaning in certain areas. The lifeguards are pretty hot too
The YMCA has been great for my family! My husband and I have gotten more active, while our kids are participating in activities. My son plays basketball there and swimming, my daughter does gymnastics and swimming. We love them all!
Always clean; representatives greet you with a smile. So customer friendly. Wheel chair accessible entrance, working elevator, handicap parking, nice central location. Plenty of equipment to choose from

I love coming to the YMCA in Downtown Roanoke. All of the members and staff are always so welcoming and inviting. I am currently a membership representative and thoroughly enjoy my work. I love interacting with members and getting to know all of my coworkers. The Kirk Family YMCA is an awesome place to work and workout! I would definitely recommend it to everyone. Whether you are coming to exercise, chill out at the pool, or hangout with your friends on the basketball court, the Kirk Family YMCA is the place for you!
I love this place. Cant really explain why but I have never had anything negative. The young girls in the stay n play can sometimes forget they are working when its slow and that makes me nervous but they are sweet.

Staff is good and helpful. Would have given 5 stars but I feel that some parts of the gym could use some updating.
But don't let this stop you. It is a minor problem.

The facility is really nice and modern have some of the best equipment.
Great facility, with fantastic classes and instructors. I love the sauna too.
I've been a member for years. I enjoy water aerobics when other members are respectful of the instructor and other members.
The last time I visited the location.As always there is know regular maintenance program.Put in place for the patrons that visit this location.Equipment not maintained . The place needs to stop pushing employees to beg for donations.Also needs a maintenance program in a regular day to day cleaning program.Pools and Hot tub needs a good sanitation monitoring.
I have been a regular member of the KIRK FAMILY YMCA for several years and love it ! I have visited other gyms and none compared to the cleanliness, the friendliness and the value you get for your money!! They have a wide variety of fitness classes and wellness classes that are affordable and are taught by well informed instructors.
Really nice facilities and new equipment. But I'm rating 2 star's and shouldn't really give it that jus because how nasty it was. Walked into mens health center locker room and was disgusted I couldn't even take my shoes off. VERY NASTY PLACE

It is clean, the track is nice, and it's never really over crowded whenever I go, but that's usually before post work rushes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I really enjoy going here out of all the gyms I've been to. Wouldn't go anywhere else!
