Nice place for volleyball tournament.
This gym is a great facility, however it's always crowded. It's frustrating to see they let people outside of VCU community to use it, when it's arguably not big enough just for VCU students. Most students will tell you they avoid this gym simply because it's too crowded. The plus to this is that if you do start going regularly you will become very comfortable working out in front of other people to the point where it won't bother you anymore.
One of the best college gyms I've ever been to. A little packed sometimes but a great gym.

Currently joined the membership here, so far so good. This Gym has almost everything you could need in a gym. quality of equipment are great too with kindly staff. Love their swimming pools and sauna.

Always had a wonderful experience here. I often used the Racquetball court and the pool, which were always clean and well kept.

I went when I was a student and now I take advantage of my alumni discount for a membership. There's nothing you could want that's missing from Cary St. Gym... Just try and avoid going during the more popular times cause it can be a bit of a zoo around 5:30pm when school is in.
Great Facility. Summer hours are M-F 6AM-10PM; Sat-Sun 8AM,9AM-8PM. Summer hours effective Mid May to Mid Aug.
This gym is great. I love the classes offered, and the wise variety of exercise options. There are SO MANY different types of machines, it's it just hundreds of the basic stuff, so it keeps my workouts fresh. There's also a nice indoor track, several courts set up for basketball, badminton, and volleyball, and an aquatic center! (The hot tub always calls to me, especially in the winter). There's an indoor soccer field and several studies, too. Everything is in excellent shape and we'll maintained and I never feel out of place or on display. That and never being bored are honestly the highest compliments I can give a gym.

Tons of different machines! They offer alot of fun classes every day and the instructors are great.

The gym has basically any amenity you could think of available and you are almost always able to find an open machine to use.

Always a wonderful place, just because of its large selection of gym equipment, multiple basketball courts and swimming pool facility. Less expensive for community members than at American Family Fitness at 40 dollars a month.
$10 for a guest pass to try out this new gym? Come on.
