Great place to train or just workout. Staff is extremely welcoming and take the time to give you all the attention you need to get you where you want to be. Very knowledgeable and fun to be around.
I recently attended MatchBout for an event. Shannon and Mike were very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly to everyone. The gym was clean and stations were set up. It was my first time there and first time attempting to box with gloves. I attended by myself and felt very welcome there. I met a great group of ladies and would love to go back again.

I was told by my family on numerous occasions how good this is gym. I finally got to visit the gym when I traveled to VA. The expectation exceeded itself. The workout pushed me and really had me feeling good afterward. Shannon is a great trainer who caters your workout toward your goals. He is able to adapt easily and very knowledgeable guy. The rest of the staff were good also. I look forward to going back next time I am in VA.

I live in Philadelphia, but on my recent visit to Virginia I was blessed with the opportunity to join my sis in one of her classes here at MatchBout. I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed myself! Shannon, who is the Coach was very personable and he took his time in explaining each exercise to my boyfriend and I who have never taken boxing workout classes before.
By the end of the class, I felt so accomplished! I did exercises that I never even knew I was capable of doing...all thanks to the direction of Shannon! If i ever decided to move to Virginia I would definitely become a member of this gym! If you are looking for a gym with a very positive atmosphere and a coach that is willing to push you to become the best version of you, then this is the gym for you! This gym is a true gem!

The facility is well taken care of and designed. Beyond that the vibe is just...perfect! The staff are super knowledgeable and encouraging and never yell at you...yet somehow you know you will not be allowed to quit. I visited from out of town and this is the best boxing gym I've been to and will come here during future visits. Shannon is a beast!!

A great way to break up the normal workout routine! Whether a beginner or experienced, this is the place to have fun with learning to box. Everyone is friendly, it's clean and there's a great mix of men, women, ages and experience. I love it!
The entire experience has been nothing short of amazing. I'm glad I was able to incorporate boxing and fitness into my on going journey with weight loss and self care. One spot I used to train at while I was home on break and honestly was the best work I got back home out of every place I went! Recommend for everyone!!! Helped me get in shape and get toned up real fast and most importantly got my hands and reaction faster to make life on the football field easier!

I worked out with Shannon and the team at MatchBout and got a crazy and intense boxing workout. This place is great for that authentic boxing experience. I can't wait to go back!!
I absolutely love this gym. MatchBout has helped provide confidence in not only myself but my son as well. Mr. Shannon provides the best training for my son to prepare for his football season. We have found a trainer & family all at once.

I always look forward to getting to Match Bout. Shannon and Mike will make you bring it. Awesome Boxing drills and workouts abound! These guys put together fun but HARD workouts. Workouts are always dynamic - they are great at mixing it up! Even if you have never boxed before they'll walk you through the basics, different combos and even get technical if you want. They will make you push yourself and get after it! As they like to say "#GetThatWork"!

I joined the MatchBout family March/April 2017 and I was instantly hooked! I met some amazing people and still continue to get one heck of a workout! Coach Shannon never disappoints! This place is awesome! I wondered why it was called a facility and not a gym since that's what you call places you work out at, I quickly discovered the reason its called a facility is that it goes above and beyond to help their customers. I walked in and was greeted instantly and I felt welcome, the people that work there are there to help you achieve your goals and work with you no matter the fitness level, they don't get mad but instead they help you and understand how to help you, they don't find times to show off and make you feel bad about yourself, they are there for you, and they are pretty good motivators, the ambience as great and everyone is ready to help each other including other members. This place is definitely worth the drive and even if you don't feel like getting that work that day, you can relax there, they treat you like family, no one else comes close to this place.
Coach Shannon is an Outstanding Coach!!! I definitely like the feel of this gym. Upscale feel. The best part is I am even allowed to rent the place out by the hour for my own workout classes instead of having my classes out at the park where bad weather cancels. Really recommend it.
