My daughter started classes a few weeks ago. I have found Master Phelps to be a caring and patient instructor. He is humourous and approachable, but swift to provide discipline when needed. His staff is very professional. The facility is clean and well maintained. If you're looking for a local martial arts school, you'd do well to consider South Norfolk Martial Arts.

Master Phelps and the whole staff is GREAT! The after school program is good too and helps a lot with homework. The ONLY reason I stopped going is because we had to move. It IS the BEST dojo in South Norfolk. 100/10 rating

This class is awesome. Really teaches kids they can have fun, and listen at the same time. My son loves this class. He has learned so much, from how to count in a different language, to manners, listening to instructions. It really is great all around..

A very nice facility in an up-and-coming area of Chesapeake where many young families like ours are moving in. Our daughter loves taking class with Master Phelps. He is patient yet expects a lot out of his students. He really helps them focus both during class and at home (he tells all the boys to hold the door for their Moms!!). A great value!

To say that Master Phelps is great at what he does, it is an understatement. He gave my son something I could never provide - Self Confidence. From the time he started training with Master Phelps to now, everyone saw the change in him. I highly recommend Master Phelps, you will see the change in your child.

It is a great place to gain self-confidence and self-control. The place is amazing and the prices are great. Children and adults will love this place and have a awesome time. I think it's in a good location and it is fun to come and watch the students train. You can tell the students have fun.
