I unfortunately had to cancel my upcoming stay on Friday March 13th - Sunday March 15th as a result of my daughters violin workshop being cancelled. The workshop was cancelled on Thursday 3/12 at approximately 11:30 am. I called the hotel to cancel my reservation immediately and was told that because it was within 48 hours of my arrival I would be charged one night of my stay. I informed the gentleman again that I was just informed of the cancellation and asked again that I not be charged the one night stay. He again said he couldn't do that. I asked to speak to the manager and he said that he was one of the managers. In this time of uncertainty and with everything being cancelled the least you can do is not charge cancellation fees when the event cancellation is out of your guests control. Because of this and your employees not being willing to waive the fee I will be forced to not stay at your property and to tell my friends and family about what has occurred and for them to not visit your property as well. The least you could do is not charge me a fee and this problem and review could easily have been solved.
Great hotel, super friendly staff (except Megan in reservations). The room was great, even though there is a little construction it doesn't take away from the friendly front desk and beautiful property.
Very friendly front desk staff. Also, very nice lobby area with fireplace. Few negatives are the fact that there is major construction going on just outside the hotel on the interstate roads and the walls of the rooms seem very thin, with noise coming from room next to us. Still a great value.
Very clean rooms and customer service is great. Rooms are a little outdated and bed is little too firm for me. That's why I gave it a 4 stars.
We go here each year for the air show. It's a nice and consistent hotel with free wifi. Only thing I would improve is to provide breakfast.
I am staying at the Courtyard Marriott. The check in person was nice but not knowledgeable. We decided to eat at the Bristro in the hotel lobby. The young lady who took our order and rang it up was also the cook. She apologized and thanked us for our patience. The food she cooked was good but very expensive for what we got. The room smelled musty and the air conditioner was set low to hide the smell. It was so cold. The hotel is not even near any food or gas chains. We caught the train and got here by Lift. We asked to speak to a Manager and one was not available. Needless to say will never stay here again .Furthermore have been very displeased with this hotel chain. This past summer we stayed in North Carolina too and there were problems

I stayed in room 205 at this hotel which has a King size bed and a sofa in it for sleeping. There was a pull out table, long dresser/desk and a pretty good sized TV in it. It took me a couple hours to find the mini fridge but it was directly under the TV in a cabinet. There was also a HUGE glass/screen door and a small patio to walk out on that was beautiful to look out of even though there was construction.
Summary: overall I'm very happy with this hotel and I was comfortable as a guest there. The price I paid at last minute was around $204 but that's with Active duty discount and prices vary per person and how far in advance you book your ticket. 5/5 for me.

This is one of my go-to hotels in the Virginia Beach area it's in kind of a weird spot but it's pretty central to every place I need to go when I'm down there on business.
Great hotel! Free parking, and about 17min from the beach. Staff was very friendly. Sadly no free breakfast, but there are food options at the hotel, which I didn't try out.
Room was pretty standard. Clean, basic room. Fit my needs. It's not a scary place. Pretty decent. Over all, I'd say a 3 star

The room was clean and the thing I love about any Marriott is you don't have to worry if you book a non smoking room, it actually is a non smoking room.
The two workers that checked us in were very considerate of us. We needed to stay 3 nights and although there were no vacancies for 2 beds, they called us back to see if a single bed and a sleeper would work.
There were enough towels for us and have us the extra pillows we requested. This is a great place and good rates for their proximity to the ocean front.

The staff definitely tries to make up for limited amenities with great service. There's a laundry facility, but good luck finding quarters. Rooms are definitely small, and pictures are deceiving. Still, it was a good bargain and they're working on upgrades.

Inexpensive, numerous room options and onsite dining (lite fare); the best when traveling on business.
The hotel atmosphere was nice but I didn't like the fact that the hotel comforter had blood stains in the sheets
I don't like the fact that you're provided with balcony, but not permitted to smoke there. Some ppl like to enjoy a drink on a balcony and enjoy a cigarette. In addition, the room was not vacuumed adequately. However, the price and location are fairly reasonable.
Nice rooms, quiet, very attractive and nice front desk woman and parking. Highly recommended!
Very nice hotel and very great service. Friends and I had a great time spending our nights here
The hotel was very clean from the entrance door all the way throughout. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the whole room, mirrors polished, the room was extremely comfortable, you have all the amenities to be comfortable, the balcony was a plus, I highly recommend this place.
Construction near by due to highway project. Road noise can not be heard inside the hotel though. Clean. Staff is friendly an accommodating.
Nice large lobby area attached to the restaurant. Room was a good size, the bead was comfortable, and the free wifi was plenty fast. The staff was super friendly and eager to help with any issues I might've had
Great spot. Nice staff. Only spent a few hours here on our way from FL to NJ. Really busy the night we stayed. The morning.... Thats when our experience went down hill. Only enough to take it down one star. And honestly it was the worker from Starbucks. Bad service. Other than that, not too shabby.
I stayed in a bottom floor room for 5 days. It was very clean. The room was cozy and made my stay comfortable. I love the shower body wash and the shampoo and conditioner.
Very clean and cozy. I really appreciated the fact that environment was quite. Employees went above and beyond. I'd definitely stay here again!
It's Courtyard and true to the name. There were HUGE water bugs in the outside lounge area that's my only complaint. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and quiet. I would go back if I was in the area.
Rooms are very comfortable, however for a long stays the food and bar are expensive and there is only 1 washing machine and 1 dryer and they didn't work the greatest.
Super clean, wonderful service. Loved the stay didn't want to go home
All and all no complaints. When you first arrive, the outside of the hotel seems old and outdated. Once inside, it has been nicely renovated/updated. My room was clean and spacious. Included a mini fridge, couch, and HD TV. I was on the first floor but it didn't feel cramped, nor did I hear anyone above me. Wfi included, parking free and on site. Breakfast is not included but the Cafe, run via Starbucks, was reasonably priced with quick service. A reasonable drive to multiple dinner places. I would recommend for a short trip to the area.
Very nice. Outdoor pool not useable during winter. 1 washer and dryer. 3 treadmills. Public microwave. In room refrigerator
It's Courtyard and trite to the name. There were HUGE water bugs in the outside lounge area that's my only complaint. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and quiet. I would go back if I was in the area.
Nice lobby, staff and amenities. Only thing is the hot water never got hot in the shower nor when I washed my hands. Beds are okay, nice hallways as well. Love the balcony view
Staff was friendly. Maybe because the reservation for a group was made by one person, but I wasn't informed of the option to add breakfast and only learned that there was an option when I heard it announced to another guest checking in. Starbucks was very limited and more expensive than the normal Starbucks shop. Housekeeping NEVER cleaned my room although they cleaned other rooms across from me. I had to take my used towels and washcloths down to get fresh sets and it appeared to be okay with management. No microwave in the room. Refrigerator didn't get drinks very cold.
Over priced: no garbage bags on trash cans. No water. Nice room. Comfortable furniture.
The room is great and the lobby is nice. My only gripe is the fact that every morning, no matter what, the seem to be under staffed at the cafe in the lobby for breakfast. With the number of people getting breakfast as soon as they open you would think they could have one extra person there to get the orders in. Other than that it's great
This Courtyard property appears to be older than some. It is a pretty far walk from the lobby to the elevator. All of the property was in good condition, and there is a nice pool area. The "Bistro" is the same as all other Courtyards. More or less microwaved food. However, I must say that it is possible to check in and get something to eat without driving, and that is worth something. Rates at this hotel are very affordable.
Check in was easy, room was clean, staff was friendly. I gave it 4 stars because the pool was small and basically in a wind tunnel! There was also no hot tub and bar only served minial drinks.
Had a great time at the hotel for the time I was there. I spent alot of time on the balcony. There is a 24hr fitness room and swimming pool. Came down here for an Airshow
The atmosphere is great. The food service is quick, so pick your seat and be ready to hear you name to be called up. You and the family will enjoy your night out.
Usually a good stay -and I've stayed here about 20 times over the years, but a couple of times, including last stay, they did not make our room up, even though we didn't ask for that (you get 250 Marriott points extra if you request it...). Hence, the 4 stars...
