Great gym. Lots of space for weight training and plenty of different types of weight and cardio machines. Clean environment with supplied towels. Rock climbing, basketball, volleyball, swimming, kids slide. Lockers are combination set so no need to provide your own lock.
I've been going to Lifetime for the last 4 years and it is hands down the best gym in the area. After a long day of work this is the best place to come to. I always leave this gym feeling relaxed and like a new person. They offer a plethora of work out machines and stations. The team members work extremely hard to keep everything clean. Carlos Bocock and Solomon are also two of their best trainers and I go to them for all my training needs.
Best facility for fun, fitness, and family. I have grown up as a Member and Team Member at Life Time and this club has a ton of culture, friendly Members and Team Members who have been here for 20 years. Life Time has been a part of my life for 20+ years as well. I have been able to lose weight from 3 children, burn off steam, and have a blast trying new things at this club. As a Team Member, I also get a chance to have an amazing career with a company who supports me, teaches me something new every day, and allows me to work with people in an industry that I am passionate about.
I'm in love with this place! The staff is super friendly, the facility is always clean, and their equipment is top of the line. And the best part, my kids LOVE coming here!!! Gym, spa, they got it all!
Kid care is great.... their aquatics program is a mess. The waterslides are not on due during their supposedly scheduled hours because they don't have enough staff. This has been going on for the past year. The water slides were one of the key reasons we purchased a family membership. I made a comment on the Lifetime website several months ago, but nothing has been fixed and the water slide open time continues to be minimal despite the officially scheduled waterside hours. Meanwhile, 3-4 pool staff members sit in the pool office chatting.
In addition, my kids took *expensive* swimming lessons 2x per week for six weeks. (Swimming fees are above and beyond the regular membership fees.) Of the 12 lessons, my daughter was put in the wrong level 2x. My son had only 3 of 12 classes at the correct level. He can swim 25 m of the front crawl and they had him practicing putting his face into the water during his first class (this was after doing a 1:1 swimming placement evaluation, which took about 3 minutes). Over six weeks, he spent time at four different class levels: 201, 301, 401 and 501. As a former swimming teacher myself, I would gauge his level at 401. Why does it take a month to figure this out???
During lesson #9, we were told to come at a new time because my kids had progressed to new levels. We showed up only to find that my son's level was not offered at that time.
The list of class participants did not even have my kids names on it during lessons #1, #2, #9 and #10! At lesson #9 the pool manager asked me to write in their names because he had no record of them! This aquatics program is in chaos.

Went with a co-worker to sign up. His card didn't pass. So I put him on my business card. He was fired and left to Texas. It took them 8 months to cancel his plan, because he has to sign. Even though it's my card? I WAS ROBBED BY THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Made several calls and got nowhere. Even after I got a hand written note NY the person who signed me up saying that this was his mistake. They used all the gray area in thier contract to take advantage of the situation. Never even got comped any free months. Nothing. I am one of many.
I love this place, well maintained and lovely ppl. i think i need to come here more often ;)
Update: Took off another star for the constant disarray and mess that the gym is in. I've attached a picture of the squat racks; weights still racked, plates laying around, kettle bell on the floor with a barbell and medicine ball. Just too much stuff to name. What is worst, is this area looks like that because one of the trainers gave a class. Didn't even have them clean up afterwards. That's just pathetic.
Good gym with plenty of equipment and the facilities are excellent when it is cleaned. There are plenty of amenities in the locker room as well; showers with body wash, shampoo/ steam room / towels / razors / mouthwash. Sometimes the showers can get dirty looking, but a lot of traffic goes through there and they do there best to keep it clean. Only down side to the gym is all of the F*c$ Bo&s. Good news is they don't do any of the heavy exercises like squats or deadlifts. Bad news is that doesn't prevent them from using the squat racks to do some type of burpee / pull up combo workout. Easy enough to avoid them, they don't workout in the early morning hours, they tend to come in the afternoon before their shift at the mall or cell phone store.

I hate the place just because of Dennis Lynch-flohr. He is an account manager there. it was my first time and I think my last time, too. I never gonna go there. He treated me like a slave. I felt really bad.
This review is mostly based off the service I had with David on the sales team. I had to cancel my membership due to lack of attendance and other circumstances. The facility is nice over all, but there are limited times when machines are not packed. I stopped going a while ago, so David did see that. He gave me a small pitch to try to keep me to stay ( I understood, he wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't), but once I explained my situation, the pitch stopped immediately. He was very kind, and I believe he helped my mom and I when we first signed up. He was nice then, and still holds that same attitude Overall, it is a nice place, but they do need more people like him working there.

I have been a member of Lifetime for more than two years. I work out almost every day. Sometimes I run, sometimes I swim, sometimes I exercise power... I like this place very much, although it is a bit expensive, but I think it is worth it, the service staff are very warm, the sanitation condition is also good, 24 hours open door is very suitable for all kinds of needs.
I love the equipment and the weights and area and the fact their open all the time. I also find the staff very friendly but there are absolutely no rules and some of the people are there to waste other people's time by sitting on equipment and texting and trying to use multiple devices or weights at the same time and keep others from using it even though they are not on the equipment. The people are rude, uninformed and allowed to behave horribly. I've also never seen a professional gym that allows kids onto the gym floor to misuse equipment and make as noise as they like. Nobody is ever on the floor to keep things in order and make sure weights are put back or make sure people do not use their devices without a headset which many people do. They have signed up so many people at this gym it's ridiculous and yes I am charged an absurd amount of money each month to deal with some people who look and behave like they crawled from under a rock. A professional gym should have rules and regulations and should enforce them. Lifetime seems to be all about the money and I most likely am going to shop around for a gym that has people who are more serious about their workouts and a staff that will try to make a health club better not fuller.
Absolute horrible greedy establishment. Increased my membership fees by 30 a month without telling me, then when I asked why they had no answer. Staff is incredibly rude and inconsiderate and refused to give the money back. Gym is always full and basketball courts get rented out on weekends to make even more money than what they rob people of already. Canceled my membership and refuse to ever go back. I will make sure I tell everyone I know to never join Lifetime and I hope this garbage location goes out of business and is replaced with a better facility. I've never had a pleasant experience with any manager or representative here. All of you are real POS.
Hi, I attend the Centreville, VA facility. I love the weight room and am a sauna freak. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating and the cost doesn't bother me. I thoroughly enjoy going to the gym, I've been physically active since I was a kid. However, there are few improvements I would recommend. I use the sauna so I would recommend removing the wooden pallets in there once a week and power wash the tiled floors to blow out all the built up filth, bacteria and crud accumulating under the wooden pallets. It's really filthy under there. The temp at floor level is about 110 degrees and is a lab petre dish of diseases. A decent power washer only costs about 200 clams. Also patrons walk barefoot in the sauna in other peoples sweat and body fluids and there should be a sanitary rule to wear slippers or flip flops to prevent catching a disease. Inside the me's locker room there should be an automatic aromatic spray (s) installed to eliminate the stink of sweaty drawers and socks in the lockers. Guys really stink bad after working all day and they are not showering travelling from work to the gym. And some sprays installed in the showers, it's apparent guys are peeing while showering and the aroma is really bad. My best to the staff, those guys are folding millions of towels all the time. Oh, and the staff need to ditch the slacks and sports coats and stop looking like nerds. It's not conduit to the gym atmosphere, they should be in sporty gym clothes to make it comfortable to look at them. My wife also attends and kudos to the staff for taking care of pervs and sexual harassers hanging around the Jacuzzis.
Lifetime Centreville has all the equipment you need. The staff is very friendly, and anytime I needed help (signing up and canceling) someone was always there to make the process quick and painless. It is very expensive (~$90), and the free weight area is usually pretty cluttered as most patrons have no understanding of gym etiquette. It can get very crowded, but there is so much space and so much equipment (7 squat racks!) that the crowds aren't really a problem; although at times there are more folks socializing than working out which can be frustrating. All in all probably would not have left if the price were more affordable.
Great gym with most activities desired. Need to upgrade the pool. Unfortunately lack tennis and racquetball. Have indoor basketball courts, yoga, free weights and much more. Very friendly staff.
I absolutely love the facilities and atmosphere! But what has really has helped me out is meeting with a trainer. My first session with Jennifer Stinnett was in April 2017. I was nervous and hesitant to meet with a trainer because I had previous knee injuries and severe asthma problems. However, I was determined to continue to reach my health goals. Jen has been an excellent coach and trainer with every curve ball I throw her way. I was told by doctors to be very careful in how I trained and recovered, because I was always "one step away" from re-tearing my ACL due to ligament weakness and the overall construction of my knees. Jen took that in stride and is creative, encouraging, and pushed me to new limits without fear of injury. I meet regularly with a doctor for knee check ups, and last week and for the first time in 2 1/2 years he said my knees have improved and are so much stronger. I was absolutely floored! I know it's a direct impact of the last few months of training with Jen. I leave each session happy, more determined, and ready to take on challenges in the gym and outside the gym! Thanks Lifetime for bringing her to the gym! I am grateful for it!
Where do I begin.. let me first state that this is an excellent gym as far as equipment and everything that they offer. What is less than great is that when I paid $1200 for a trainer and then the trainer ended up leaving, they would not refund my money which was about $800. They told me I had to use a different trainer than the one I had agreed to in the first place. After informing them that i only paid because of specific trainer they told me basically there was nothing they could do. Then I moved out of state and so after moving I called them to cancel my "Non Contract" membership and they told me I had to come into the gym to cancel or send a letter. Literally send a letter... let's just say that this place was less than accommodating when it comes to money. I didn't even ask for the $800 trainer fee that I never used back. Long rant yes, but all true...
Good in general. I like the second floor free weight area.
But the pool is not recommended. Recently, the child pool was too cold for the last 2 weeks but the facility is still delaying. Also, the aquatic team often masses up swimming lesson scheduling and made us(me and my 3yr-old kid) go back home or wait for an hour to attend the next available lesson which unfamiliar teacher.
Love this gym! I go at different times during the day due to my work schedule and am always able to use the equipment that I like to work out with. I never have to wait which has been my experience at other gyms. The lap pool is huge and I never have an issue with getting a lane to use.
