I moved where I worked, and would be no longer close to this location. I had been a member for 4 years.
After cancelling my membership, their business policy force me to pay next month in full (who requires 50 days notice?? - 30 days is understandable) even when I am not going to use their services, so my customer policy force me to write this review to let other people know about this clause. It feels slimy to dig out another month. And since I don't have the terms of the agreement memorized after 4 years, I tried to find the cancellation policy on their website - which isn't there. Feels intentionally deceitful.
Enjoy the extra month. I'll be rejoining a gym in about 2 months, and it wouldn't be a sport and health.
Well run Sport & Health with nice views of the Potomac River. Also offers many fitness classes.
I was seriously considering joining this gym, but Marty was very condescending when I asked what the membership cost was. He asked what gym I used to belong to and then proceeded to tell me that it's probably not what I'm looking for. He assumed I couldn't afford it and told me it's $250 plus $80/mo. The whole conversation was short and curt. I told him that I was insulted of how he addressed me. At first, he responded with I didn't say that. And when I repeated what he said, he reluctantly and superficially apologized. Then asked coldly if I wanted to come and see it. I told him I've been inside that gym before as I had lived in OT for over 20 years and have friends that go there. Too bad they have a guy like him to represent that company because I actually kinda like that gym. He even assumed I didn't live in the area and said that that in itself would not be beneficial. I actually live down the street. Let me put it this way, he did everything right to discourage me from joining. They should replace him with a friendlier person and maybe, their membership would increase and do better.

I love this club! So glad I joined... the team is spectacular and I love the weight floor. The equipment selection makes it easy breezy for me to get my workout in. I also loved the Smart Start process- it gave me a good vision of where I am currently and what my potential is in reference to my fitness goals. 100% recommend this club if you're in the market for a great gym in the area!

My first impression of this club is very clean, and I like the dark wood floor at main entrance level, And many members comes for group exercise classes, very skilled instructors, experienced trainers, friendly front desk staff. If you compare here Old Town Sport & Health and any other gym, you want to come back here. It's worth to try and becoming a member. The membership monthly fee is not cheap, but what we pay, what we get..

Such nice people and great facility! My family loves going there. Employees are always smiling and welcoming us in, and it is obvious that they care about each of their members. Thank you for such a good experience!

Sport and Health is becoming our second home because are there working out and taking classes so much :). I started coming here for the amazing Pilates classes (taught by Katy!)- even my husband never misses a class! I also recommend the wonderful barre and yoga classes. They are studio quality, but included with the membership. The fitness floor is great with a lot of elliptical machines and other equipment, and I generally don't have trouble getting a machine or finding space to stretch. The locker rooms are very convenient with large towels for showering. And, there is a great filtered water machine that keeps us hydrated! Highly recommend the club!!

Full disclosure - I am a group ex instructor at OTSH, however, my review is specifically about Kids Club and has nothing to do with my employment. Tony, who is at Kids Club on MWF and Sunday, is one of the greatest assets that OTSH has. It's a nice perk when clubs offer free child care but Tony is above and beyond what you would hope for while you take a class or go workout upstairs. He is patient, kind, fun, energetic, and honestly just a baby whisperer. A big shout out to Tony for being an incredible part of the gym.
Great gym, great people, great facilities (despite being in a building that could use an upgrade). My only complaints are about parking, which can sometimes be hard to find (especially in January when the resolutionists show up), and despite being a large gym, it can get pretty crowded.
Old Town Sport and Health is a fantastic gym! Great staff, they are always welcoming. There are various machines/equipments for everybody. The classes are enjoyable and fun, not to mention also the zone 4 program offer effective workouts ! It is always a nice experience
The staff and management at Old Town Sport & Health create the most welcoming and friendly atmosphere! Any questions you may have, they are more than happy to help. The facility is clean, they have an awesome selection of classes, and plenty of equipment to choose from. This club keeps your motivation to stay fit at an all time high!
Awesome fitness facility. Staff is extremely caring and dedicated. Clean and modern. Best Mind Body room around. State of the art Bikes in their cycle room. Fun instructors full of high energy
Love the improvements they have made recently to this gym. Very friendly staff and many of the classes they offer rival those of private studios. They have improved many of the class spaces due to their overwhelming popularity with the members. Definitely recommend you check out this great community-based gym!
