If you're looking for a welcoming and clean space to pump out the frustration or work on your health physically or mentally THIS is the place.
Especially the one on Murray.
The vibe is calm.
Just pop in and check it out.
They love to give tours.
I really enjoy the atmosphere here. The employees are all chill, and the clients that attend are there to do their own thing. I have had the experience of many gyms, but this has exceeded my expectations by far. Glad I joined.
I can't say enough about this place! It's always super clean. The staff is always so friendly. The equipment is in great working condition. I've been coming here for years and I always feel comfortable and happy here!
Great informative tour with Jenna. The place is clean, and it wasn't overly busy when I was there. I'll get the upgraded membership to use the massage bed, red light cubicle, and tanning bed (in moderation!).
This is a Joke. Another store couldn't find my account information that I had just started online on 02/29. So thinking I must not have opened it incorrectly, I opened another account at the gym on my way home from work. I was able to track down the email for the original account when I got home, which was opened for a gym that isn't even operational yet. So I call thinking this is just a clerical situation and it won't take a lot to fix it. No it's not, now these clowns are making me go into another gym to cancel the account claiming that they need my signature to cancel. Which I find odd, because they didn't need it to open the account in the first place. What a joke.
Great gym for all levels of gym goers. Just right mix of machines/equipment that a naive does not feel lost or intimidated and a pro does not feel lack of equipment. Gets busy at peak times but that's expected. Will be awesome if they could add section for sled and farmers walk
Great, non judgmental place to work out and feel welcome with no pressure on you whatsoever from any type of sales person or trainer. It feels really great knowing that and it's very positive inside. Loved the staff at this location as well. Also the giant ceiling fans are sweeet!!! My fav section is the 30 minute workout area.
The Manager Lendle is just great ! Best customer service above and beyond ! I hope upper management knows how good he is. Thanks again Lendle you are awesome ! Also by far the cleanest of any Planet fitness Ive been to !!!!!
Yo Jason is an absolute madman, the man puts pear essential oil in the cleaning spray. He treats the gym like his own home, ya'll should be giving my man a raise. No but for real he makes the environment super comfortable and lovely to be in, and it wouldn't be the Sam's without him. The rest of the staff is lucky to have him.

I'm a black card member and I can say that planet fitness in Murray utah is the greatest. Stefan is the trainer there and he is knowledgeable and hands on . The hole experience is really great

This place is awesome. All the employees are great, friendly, and professional. Everything is clean and working properly. Stefan, the trainer, is knowledgeable and awesomess.

The only place I feel I completely "comfortable" working out. Truly a no judgement gym.
I cancelled my membership after only having it for 3 months. I came in on the 26th and was able to cancel it with ease. HOWEVER, the associates failed to tell me that there was a $40 annual fee that was going to be taken from my account and that I should have came in one day earlier (the 25th) in order to have avoid the large fee. I say large because I was paying for my membership and my partner's. Now I have lost over $80 due to annual fees. Definitely not ever going back. Typical gyms just try to scam you for your money and nothing good comes from it.
Nice clean friendly gym. Equipment is kept up and locker room is clean with private showers. Mondays are usually busy, but the rest of the week not too much.
Nice gym. But I felt judged during my workout.
I have a black card membership and have been coming here for months. I love it! The staff is friendly and there's never as many people here as at Vasa.
Not bad. Clean locker room. The tanning beds are always clean. Never a wait for cardio. Only downside is not a huge selection of free weights.
Lacking basic Customer Service- Planet Fitness is franchise gym that I have been to at least 55 plus times across the United States. There were sereval obvious negatives at this gym. After just checking-in on Monday the 27th of March at about 10am into the gym, the fire alarms went off. Zero response from the two employees which was a huge safety issue, the two employees did not walk around to verify there was no issue. These same two employees were 10-15 feet distance away from a piece of equipment which a client equipment beating on & they did nothing. Then there was a lack of enforcement of people on their mobile talking in the gym... There was no positives at this gym. I would not go this gym location again but I would likely recommend all Planet Fitness gym across the nation to any beginning exerciser due to its' $10 membership fee or its' $20 fee for access around the United States for a person travelling.
Very nice and clean but they charge $20 dollars for ONE (1) day pass!! Every planet fitness does that tho. I think its ridiculous when i can go in my local gym for $3 dollars per day. (If i don't have a membership)
They told me I had to have my bank info before they would let me work out, which is weird because other Planet Fitness facilities have allowed me to start working out on a temporary 7 day pass before I had to bring in my bank info. I guess I'll be going to World Gym from now on.
I love this gym. I wish they had barbells and squat racks but you just can't beat 20 bucks and unlimited guest passes. I love the blonde guy at the counter early in the mornings. Awesome customer service.
The equipment is really great, the staff not so much, not interactive with card members. The place in not sanitary, yes I know it's a gym. The machines are dirty, the staff does empty out the garbage very often, you don't see them out in the floor cleaning. The stair steppers ate always full of hair (on the steps). Garbage and dust in the pockets of the machines. They want the card member to wipe down tanning beds really. What happens if the person that used the machine prior does not wipe down. Flu season at its peak, you think they would be more conscientious about cleanliness. The facility is roomy, and again great equipment but it grosses me out to get on the cardio equipment and to use showers and bathroom facilities.
I think the facility is great. Never super crowded, always clean, people are friendly enough. However I guess signing up I should have asked more questions because they failed to mention how their billing cycles work and that basically I had to pay twice in the month of January. So really I paid more than what their advertisements state.
When I called to ask about it then they choose to casually mention that, don't even apologize for not mentioning that to begin with. I will agree I should have read things better on the electronic signing pad which the contract appears, and maybe even asked for a physical copy but for now I'm going to be that annoying petty person on Google Reviews that probably no one cares about but whatever.
Very clean. Lots of machines to use. Not over crowded. Morning employees are great and notice they work extra hard
This location as far as the physical gym is really nice and always very clean. The issue I have is part staff and part location.
I have had a membership to planet fitness for close to 5 years now and have been to a few locations and as far as customer service goes this one falls beneath the others. There are one or two that are really friendly but the rest of them barely say hello when you walk in or goodbye when you walk out. There have been times that I have walked in and they didn't say a word, they just hold up the scanner to scan my phone or card and then turn back to their computer. The other locations I have been to in the past (Cottonwood heights and South Jordan) always greated me with a friendly hello and smile and usually say "have a great work out" or "have fun" something to let you know they appreciate your business. I am lucky if I get a "hello" at this location.
My second issue, which is not necessarily this locations fault, is how busy it is. Geographically this is a great location. Very central and close to the freeway and other poplar businesses and with that it brings a lot of business which is understandable. However, since they closed their cottonwood heights location and all of our memberships were transferred to the murray location, this gym has almost become too populated. There have been several times that I have come and almost all the treadmills were being used and a good majority of machines already taken. I am not sure why they closed their cottonwood heights location but I feel it was a mistake.
I think this gym has the potential to be a really great location, they just have a few things to work on as far as their staff and perhaps opening another location to the east again to help with relieving congestion at this location.
Brand new facility. New equipment. Bright and airy. No judgement. Very affordable membership fee.
Totally love it. Very nice people.
Go out of their way to help you in any situation. Affordable prices. Nice Gym and easy to figure out the equipment. The only down side is I've seen the guys will sweat all over a piece of the equipment then move on to the next and NOT wipe the one down they were on.
Come on guys its totally gross.
Please be so kinda an wipe it down when your done using it. Other then that I would recommend Planet Fitness to anybody.
This location is ok. It's large, clean and has a very varied selection of equipment. However, in terms of customer service, this location is lacking. I'm a transfer from the now-closed Cottonwood Heights location where I became friends with the staff, partially due to their great treatment of customers. Now, because PF has the best prices in town, I'm going to a location farther from my home, where team members simply turn the TVs off in front of you two minutes before they close. I understand wanting to get out of work ASAP but a simple, "Hey, we will be closing in a few minutes. I gotta turn of the TVs. Sorry to interrupt your show." would be nice. That's the kind of thing that occurred at the Fort Union location. Instead, TVs are just shut off and you get no kind of good bye from the staff, like customers ALWAYS did in Cottonwood Heights. Rather, at least in tonight's encounter, the team member simply looks burdened by our presence and so grateful we are leaving. I don't know, maybe I was simply spoiled at my previous location.
I've been coming here since almost the grand opening. This gym is great! Extremely clean, well equipped, and parking is plentiful. The staff is also
Extremely nice, and diverse (something Millennials value above all else). Thank you!
