I was recently house/pet sitting in Salt Lake for a week-ish & wanted to find a good yoga studio during my stay. I'm glad I found ISY; I attended 2 sessions & enjoyed my experience here. The studio is spacious, has a good lived-in character, and I appreciate the padded flooring. The vibe is low-key and dimly lit, perfect. The 1st session (general Yoga) was led by Paul, an instructor in training, and overseen by Ma Shakti. The 2nd (Integrated Yoga) was led by Ma Shakti. Myself being a novice with only a bit of occasional yoga experience, the unhurried pacing & challenge in each class were perfect, and I felt great afterward. I really appreciated being able to spend time with each pose, and mindfully transition into the next. Would like to return again in the future.

I did my yoga teacher training here and loved the transformation I felt. Ma Shakti is a benevolent and gracious guide through the world of yoga. I loved learning from her and from all the students and teachers at the ashram.
I have been doing yoga for 7 years and this studio has offered me knowledge and spiritual growth that no other yoga has. I felt the teacher training not only prepared me to be a confident teacher but changed my life forever. I have feel accepted here and no one is judging anyone or comparing and all are loved and welcomed. My favorite thing is the variety of classes so I can stay well rounded and not get bored and remain balanced in body mind and spirit. This studio has offered me a place to work on myself and turn my life around by learning to control my mind and stress.
The Best Yoga!! I have been a patron of The Integrated School of Yoga for over 2 years. The result is that my body has never been so fluid, nor moved so well. It has created a smoothness of movement and a wonderful harmony of my body and my spirit. And, to be sure, I am one of, if not the oldest, yogi in any given class. Please do yourself a favor, and start taking yoga at ISY.

The yoga and community I experienced here changed my life. When I first set foot in this space, I had only been practicing yoga for a few months. I was intimidated because I wasn't able to do some of the poses, but I received nothing but love and encouragement! I started the Teacher Training program that fall, and I nothing I've done has had such a positive impact on the way I life my life. I will continue to go back as often as I can for as long as I live in the area.
I came to one class and was never able to come back. The incense was so strong I had to go to the doctor and have a breathing treatment! It's a bummer because the class was otherwise wonderful! I emailed them and never got a response, which was disappointing.
