Core Power Yoga has been a life changing experience for me. I began with the free week in November and I've been a member ever since. The Yoga instructors at Core Power are experienced and talented at conducting a class for yogis of all skill levels. I recommend beginning with a C1 class if you are new to CorePower Yoga. Core Power has been the best investment I've made in myself. The benefits from Yoga are remarkable.

I love the main room in the studio, it has great natural lighting, and the space feels nice and open. Classes are consistent, and I always get a great workout.

Classes are hard but so rewarding! I have loved all the instructors I have taken from. You need to take a candlelight class with Judd, it is a beautiful experience.

This location is awesome for busy university students like myself that can pop in for a class to decompress. The studio is quiet and tucked away in Trolley Square with a great atmosphere. Brooke's sculpt class will leave you sore for days! (But in the best way possible)

I love CorePower! This location is tucked away just minutes from downtown making it convenient for a day out and about. The amenities make it easy to do this. They recently updated their wood floors adding to the beauty of this studio!

Love this studio, love the teachers here, love the ambiance, love everything about it. The teachers here are phenomenal and all trained to the same standard so you will always feel well guided and supported in your practice, whether you're a beginner or a pro and whether you're the advanced classes or the beginner ones.

I love the design of this CPY location! The light wooden floors give it a very natural feel, and the big windows make lots of room for natural light to shine through and illuminate my practice! Classes are challenging and FUN!

This location of CPY attracts a diverse and beautiful crowd in the heart of downtown SLC. They have so many awesome instructors- Erin happens to be one of MY favorites. Also- if you're looking for unique yoga gear, this studio usually has some super cute things! GO FLOW!

Core Power is my go to for not only an amazing work out, but a place of refocus and finding peace in the process. Be sure to attend Brooke or Cynthia's sculpt classes, they are unreal!!

my experience at trolley square corepower was one to remember! everything about it was fabulous from the minute i walked in - i was greeted with a warm welcome from my lovely instructor Erin M, given a tour of the studio, and then finished it off with an amazing HPF class. the facilities were spotless and the atmosphere was peaceful. great way to start off my sunday - i would highly recommend this studio (and wonderful company) for those who are interested!

I love the Trolley Square CorePower studio. The location is perfect and the studio is charming. The windows in the studio provide a pretty look outside during practice. The C1 classes are a great way to work on foundations and still get a great work out. C2s are always challenging and the heat feels great--especially in the winter. I love Katie G's C2 on Thursdays at 4:30. She is an amazing instructor who makes me work hard in class. She also shares truly inspirational stories through classes. Judd's 7:15 Hot Power Fusion class on Wednesday's is an intense working and also offers relaxing restorative poses. I have gone to some fun themed classes here; some were based on certain musicians like the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, and many more. These are high-energy and such a fun way to practice with an upbeat group of people. I would recommend anyone who is interested in trying yoga to come try out a C1 or restore class. The C2s and Hot Power Fusions are always fun and an intense, gratifying workout. I find it quite obvious that most students who write angry, irrational reviews result from when they have tried a very hard class without much experience. Beginning with a class that's designed for beginners is the best way to have a good first experience and work up to harder/heated classes! Great studio for someone who's never tried yoga or has been practicing for years.

Best Yoga Studio in Salt Lake City!

I don't know what to call this place, but it isn't yoga. It's kind of like a cross-fit class with some yoga poses mixed in. The words "pump it up" and "as fast as you can" should never be heard in a yoga class. Nor should club dance remixes. I've tried three different types of classes here during my free week, and all of them were about speed and doing as many reps as possible. There was almost no focus on breath and flow except the shavasana at the very end of one class. (Doing as many pushups as fast as you can from plank while a Beyonce remix plays doesn't count as vinyasa. Sorry.) I'm sure there are some people who'll enjoy this as a fitness routine. Just don't expect any of the mental and spiritual clarity or peace one finds in yoga.

Nice facilities and great staff

October 25, 2017 07:07

We tried the introductory free week here at core power yoga. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Prices are affordable, but as a yoga teacher I didn't find the classes to be up to par. I'm not sure if it's a core power thing, or if we just had bad luck when we visited, but the pace seemed too fast for anyone in the room to keep up. Not sure how a teacher can focus on alignment and proper form when everyone is moving so quickly, and my girlfriend managed to injure her hip in the class. I think these days that yoga is getting a very commercial appeal, and so called 'schools' are pumping teachers out left and right with little to no attention to quality control. There's very little consistency unless you find yourself at a very good studio, or you luckily find the right teacher. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to demo all of the different teachers here with working a full time job.
