I came in to get some information for the gym and the receptionist Brandon was more than willing to help me with everything I needed to know
LOVE our personal trainer and have finally found a gym we can stick with for more than just a couple months. Great selection of equipment and the staff is always super friendly.
We really love this gym. When the transition over to EOS happened management called me to gather feedback of what they could improve. I let them know my opinions on a few things and within a month they were implemented. (Probably due to a lot of similar feedback, but still.) The staff is super friendly and helpful. The equipment has been updated. I love the classes they offer! This gym has been my favorite out of their competitors.
Brandon was amazing! He helped with answering all my questions and concerns and is so knowledgeable in what he does. Great positive attitude. Great people and great place.
I occasionally go to the Syracuse location, but they opened late. Kylee at Layton was super helpful in communicating with me and letting me try out this location! Might be switching home gyms. Layton is GREAT. Their equipment and environment stood above my expectations. HIGHLY recommend
The employee, Cooper Baker, is THE most amazing, wonderful front desk attendant I have ever seen. He is very kind and welcoming to all the guests who walk in and he takes the time to help them with all of their needs. Cooper is the greatest person who could ever work there.
This place is a real deal gym. I've been resistance training here for nearly 3 years now and have found the facilities very solid, the staff great, but most importantly the people who also work out here have become friends in many cases and are friendly and helpful and respectful. If you're serious about fitness or want to be, this is the place!
I like the front desk people, Daphne is Amazing! Management, sucks! Especially the finance people. What the hell is his name, again? Oh, Sir Rude!
Golds Gym has ceased to be competitive in terms of the deals and memberships they offer. Facility is well maintained and there's always classes, but you're better off somewhere else when it comes to bang for your buck.

This gym is great, has a large cardio area plus their cardio cinema where daily movies are shown, multiple treadmill, bike and elliptical machines. Large free weight area with multiple machines and squat racks. Good area in a back room covered in turf for turf training. Also have a crossfit box, called Gfit. Overall great selection, day care staff are very attentive and great with my kids. Mike is my personal trainer and he is awesome! Highly recommend!

They seem to have problems handling membership records. They had a promotion last year where there was a free month. You sign-up but can't access the gym because they say you don't have a membership, you try to cancel but they say you don't have a membership and then they start billing you for the membership you don't have. You'll probably wind up having to sue them for fraud. Maybe contact the local District Attorney because this place refuses to take care of membership issues and continues to bill.

They've hooked up some of my friends with good deals on sign up; not me - so that sucked, I had to pay a lot to get started back when they didn't have the promotion going, so that was a turn off.

I am so happy with Gold's! Their group class instructors are excellent! I mostly do High Fitness (which we are LUCKY to have) and Body Pump, but I have been to Body Step and Combat and they have all been great! I love having several gyms in the area to go to for my schedule.
Alot of the equipment is getting old. But they've been pretry good aboit getting things updated. New turf room is awesome!

I like the gym, but at certain times of the day, the high school across the street comes over and has weight training class. Tons of HS kids sitting on the equipment looking their phones. It's next impossible to get a good workout in. Some of the kids just hang out messing around in the locker room. Not sure where the teacher is or the gym staff. Avoid at 12pm-3pm.
They don't renew their equipment which has lead to oddball, mismatched weights and lots of dilapidated machines. They also are painfully slow to repair broken cable and cardio machines. Luckily there are better options in the area.

The Layton Golds is only interested in making as much money as possible. They do not care about the patrons. The equipment is falling apart and the bathroom is always filthy. They are closed Sundays and Holidays. My constructive comments have been ignored for 4 years. Why haven't I quit the place? Convenience only. I live a few blocks away and don't care to drive across town to Vasa, but probably will make the change soon. (BTW, I have patronized other Golds franchises such as the one in Twin Falls Idaho where I used to live that have a concern for their clients and are managed far better.)

When I first went in to sign up they lied to me about the price and they wouldn't refund it after I talk to them about it. If you value your money and your gym don't go here. You'll regret it. When I called to ask for a refund for the money that they took, the employee that answered, Steve, was very rude and didn't help at all with any of my problems. When asked what could be done he stated that they was nothing that could be done and I would have to deal with it. This is honestly the worst gym that I have ever been to and I would not recommend it to even my worst enemy.

I have had a membership here for years. I enjoy working out here daily. Earlier in the week can get really busy but tapers off throughout the week. Cardio equipment is getting worn out and needs updated. Staff is alright but can be inattentive at times. Kids Club staff is awesome. My daughter loves to play and ask to go visit the girls.
