I was in San Antonio for a business trip and trained at Semper Fortis. I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and great instruction.
I was in town for the week and decided to drop in. I was welcomed immediately by the professors and students. Had a great week of training, learned some great techniques and met some amazing people. I recommend this academy to anyone interested in learning or currently practicing BJJ. This place is Jiu Jitsu!
I was visiting town and I met the very friendly instructor, Suay. She clearly had a great deal of knowledge and was very willing to share it with her guests and her students. Rolling there was fun and I felt that I was a part of the school. I will swing by next time I visit!
This is an excellent academy with two awesome Professors [Saad and Suay] and a great team. While I was only in the area for a few weeks, from the moment I walked through the door up until the day that I had to depart, I was treated no different from anyone else that was training there. I certainly felt welcomed and garnered an abundance of knowledge and techniques during my short stay.
While my schedule limited me to one session per day, if you have the time, you can get up to 11 sessions in a single week, which I think is pretty cool. So, for those of you who live in the local area or are visiting as I was and are interested in training, I highly recommend this academy. If I make it back to San Antonio, this is where I will be training.
A great place to get a good work out, have fun, meet new people who have the same likes towards Jiu Jitsu, and to learn how to focus your energy.
Outstanding gym. Great atmosphere, knowledgeable cadre and excellent lesson plans. There are at least 3 blackbelts at this gym, and multiple brown and purple belts as well. They tailor instruction to any level and are very friendly. They are veteran owned and led, and they have a good female presence as well, including one black belt! 100% worth the time and money. I would go back here whenever I could.
I came here looking for a martial arts school for my early school aged child. This school was everything I hoped for and more. Regretfully my child didn't want to continue but I thought I'd post a review for anyone looking for a program. The school allows several free visits and provides a uniform for the classes. The classes are well organized and every new kid is partnered with a more seasoned student who mentors them through the lesson. Everyone is so positive and encouraging, that my child never felt left out or lost. The rates are very reasonable and the class times broad enough for most schedules.
One of the most down to earth and family friendly martial art academies in San Antonio Area. Perfect location for active duty and their families near SAMMC/BAMC. One of my favorite studios to visit when my family is TDY to the area. Perfect academy for kids, adults, and families. If you are a beginner or avid practitioner, you will feel very welcomed at Brazil 021 San Antonio!
This place is fantastic. My daughter was terrified on her first day but the instructor was amazing and patient and helping motivate my daughter. After a few minutes my daughter forgot she was the new one. Very professional. I absolutely love the disciplineand focus in this place. It is truly amazing.

Brazil-021is your next home away from home. Professor Saad's and Coach Suay's skillset is perfect for beginners to advanced practioners. They're very welcoming and are always willing to share their knowledge. There are no hidden fees or contracts. There is a wide variety of experience within the students, so everyone can practice, build and or refine their skills. No egos, just good challenging rolls. Even if you just want to find an alternative way to exercise, why not learn self defense at the same time? So come on over and check them out, they'll let you train for 30 days for free!
This family changed my life! I called and asked if I could try a class and this family gave me 30 days and a Gi to train for free. After that the cost of the class and my own Gi was worth every penny. Suay and Saad are the ones who run this FAMILY! The most down to earth, good hearted people to know.
Everyone who trains there is focused on their progression but treats you like you have always been going there. The training is phenomenal. Here is what I mean: You warm up first and every step of the way someone will help you if you are having trouble. You get to learn at least 3-4 techniques that night and once you have enough experience you get to roll (sparring). For your monthly fee you get access to Jiu-Jitsu everyday of the week, you get to train no-GI, and you get access to Judo training twice a week!
I have relocated to Tampa, FL and I pay almost double and dont get access to this variety. At this school ALL belts train together and are not seperated. You get to learn all types of techniques.
I even sat and watched the kids classes before my class started. Many people have their kids train here and then train right after that class. Suay is great with the kids!
This is a very clean facility and a great family atmosphere. I can't say enough about this place that started me on a journey to a better life. Contact them because you wont regret it! I can't wait to go back to San Antonio to spend time with them again!
Everyone was exceptionally nice and welcoming. The training was excellent with detailed instructions. Definably my go to spot when I visit San Antonio.
A really nice husband and wife team run this school. The environment is very welcoming. Very technical Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction. An added bonus is that they have three BJJ black belts who train there. They also have a couple of Judo black belts train at the school and have Judo class twice a week. After every BJJ class they open the mats for about an hour of sparring and all three BJJ black belts regularly roll with the students.
My only complaint is that the school is too far from my house and I can not make the commute from the west side of San Antonio to the school's location on the east side everyday, so I had to find another school for my regular training.

Very knowledgeable staff. They really seem to care about the students. Cleanest facility I've ever been in and the classes start and end when they're supposed to. I would highly recommend coming in.
This is the place to train in San Antonio! The owners are experienced and friendly. The facility is always clean. It has an outstanding kids program and the classes for adults are superb! I am proud to say that This is where I train whenever I have the opportunity!
I've had the opportunity to train at multiple different gyms and enjoy Brazil-021's atomosphere and technical approach to Jiu-Jitsu. For the beginners, Coach Saad and Coach Suay are accommodating, inviting and will work to foster your growth in Jiu-Jitsu without being intimidating or overbearing.
For the advanced practitioners, high level girls and guys train there, and the emphasis on technique will most certainly add to your capabilities whether it be a focus on competition or self-defense. In sum, you're receiving high level instruction at Brazil-021 from, in my opinion, the best coaches in San Antonio.
I came to San Antonio for 10 weeks on business. My first priority on arrival was a place to train. I walked into this school and was welcomed like an old friend, and treated like family from that day forward. I love this school. The Jiu Jitsu, attitudes and family atmosphere are everything that attracted me to Gracie Jiu Jitsu from the beginning. Professor Saad and his wife Suay are excellent martial artists and excellent people. It is clear they strive to develop the same qualities in their students. Whether you are looking to begin training or continue your journey, you owe it to yourself to check out this school before going elsewhere. I have my own club at home and they will always be home, but my time at this club will always be a cherished memory.
Is an amazing academy and truly enjoy training here! I recommend this academy to all it's a great place to learn with a wonderful family environment!! If you want to learn how to defend yourself and be around good people this is the place for you and your family!!
My 5 year old son has been coming here for almost a month now and he is loving it. I am impressed how well they handle working with these children of all different ages the way they do. I am really glad I found this place.
