I had a membership at this gym for a few years which then led me to signing up for a trainer. The gym overall, was fine. No complaints with the gym. My one star is mainly for the training sessions. When I first began my sessions, they were great. My trainer then moved to another position and I was assigned a new trainer. Well, this trainer later left, and I was never informed. Sessions were accumulating. When I did go back, I had so many sessions. My first trainer was now in charge and I was assigned a new trainer. This trainer was AWESOME...a trainer's trainer. His workouts were great, he was motivating and consistently stayed on you. He then was let go which he was kind enough to inform me of. I was never informed by the management. The trainer I was then assigned to, well.... he was not like the trainer I had before. No motivation, no variety to the workouts and no follow up. When I went in to cancel my membership and inquire/cancel my sessions, there was still no follow up to get you linked up with a trainer. Considering how they change trainers; I do not know if my last trainer is even still there. I consider this an EXPENSIVE lesson learned. Take heed people, join the gym but stay away from the training sessions. Very unprofessional with awful customer service.

Mostly open 24 hours, large open area. Got a tour, friendly employees, but membership fees are average.

I use to be a member of Gold's Gym. I really like the Trufit equipment and environment. I don't feel like I have to be a pro to work out. Everything is always extremely clean and weights are organized.
I wish they had longer kids club hours on weekends. Its too hard for me to get there during the week. It might be the reason I end my membership at the end of 6 months.

With a knowledgeable and helpful staff you will be able to enjoy a facility that has most everything. From cardio equipment that includes stairsteppers, stair climbing, elliptical machines, a cycling room, and treadmills to free weights barbells and dumbells, squat racks , weight machines, and more. This modern and upscale facility is a great place to get fit and stay fit. I had an enjoyable couple of workouts while I visited san Antonio and will come back when I return. Locals are fortunate to have such a clean, organized, and diverse modern facility to join. They have great membership packages and you can try it out free for week before you decide. The members are friendly and respectful, as well. John and the staff are the best. Thanks!

It's a gym that serves its purpose but the staff is not that great. They will socialize and not pay attention unless you scream for them to notice you. The gym also could offer more , perhaps a sauna or a pool atleast ?

In my opinion, it's better than Gold's. They got multiple of everything. Plenty of machines and free weights

Although, Tru Fit on Walzem is not my designated gym, I'm waiting for the military location to be open. In the meantime, I have been going to the location on Walzem. The gym is very nice and clean but the manager in the childcare is very disrespectful and always seem to have an attitude. She seem to change the rules every time we come and always have a nasty attitude since day one. Don't get me wrong, I like the gym but the childcare part is not so welcoming.

Also, I did a free training workout with one of the trainers. At the end of the workout the trainer was trying to give us a deal to pay for somebody to train us. The manager kept pushing and pushing after me and my friends kept telling him NO! We're not interested. He seemed very upset and kind of rude. Ever since that day, the trainer manager doesn't even look our way or either have a nasty vibe. This gym has a lot of work to do with their employees. From childcare, the front desk to the trainers in the back. Make your clients feel welcome with positivity EVERTIME!

Went in for a "7 day trial", came in on day 3 and the guy who was trying to get us to sign up was very pushy and told us today was our last day. We have been looking for a gym that we feel comfortable in, but this place was just not for us. The equipment was nice, place was clean, but the staff was beyond rude. The lady who talked to us yesterday made it seem like we weren't welcome and made us feel like we were out of place. The guy who tried to sign us up told us today there was a 1 year contract, but on the first day, it wasn't mentioned. When we both said it wasn't mentioned, he tried to make us seem like we were lying...not really the best way to get someone to sign up. We felt very uncomfortable, left before working out and signed up at Planet Fitness, where you pay the same price, but get a full tour and friendlier staff.

It's a great place to work out but with so many military families in the area you would think they would open daycare earlier, so parent's can enjoy their workout before work. I love the place and my son enjoys daycare when we get to go but it's always a rushed session. Maybe you guys can consider daycare opening at 6am? That will definitely bring a lot more business.

It's a great place to work out but with so many military families in the area you would think they would open daycare earlier, so parent's can enjoy their workout before work. Clean, excellent customer service and friendly staff! Review update. They have added new weights and equipment. They now have actual squat racks and the dumbbells go past 70lbs. They gym gets extremely crowded at times now. I have to alter my work outs and workout times all too often now with the overcrowding. Still a nice gym, and would recommend.

I have a membership here n i loved working out here. They also have a daycare,tanning bed,spa,private womens area to work out with big T.V. to see your kids in day care,yoga,Zumba,a night room with jogging machines,massage chairs,and women's n men's locker rooms with restrooms n showers. The staff is friendly n helpful. You also get a free fitness evaluation n pay for a trainer if you want to.

I only went there for a vending event but it looks great inside. Lots of machines and very professional facility workers. I would recommend this gym to others.

For the price of membership this gym is good. They have really good zumba classes. They also offer yoga and I've heard that bodypump is another class they are looking to offer. The hours of operation are great. On the downside, some machines have not been working for weeks. My kids are really bored in childcare because they are not allowed to do anything but sit and wait. My girl is 9 and was not allowed to bring in her tablet, slime, or practice any of her gymnastic flips. While I understand my daughters interests can pose a danger to the rest of the kids, if this gym would provide some kind of boucing house instead of television then my kids wouldn't give me such a hard time to support me in my own health journey. I see so many kids just bored and waiting while the staff just look around and talk to each other. I have not seen 1 of them try to interact with the kids or try to keep them entertain. It really just is a dumping ground. My daughter has said that the staff are "mean" and "yell" a lot. I simply try to exercise in the mornings when my kids are at school which is ideal but not always possible.

Great gym overall. If you are a heavy lifter, then you would probably be disappointed at the fact that the heaviest dumbbells are 75 LBS. They also don't have a sauna. Other than that, great gym

Love the low price for membership. They do a good job at keeping the place clean only wish they had a sauna and pool.

It's a pretty laid back gym it's pretty much got all you need to have a good workout and standard gym pass is pretty cheap

Well where do I start ... i have to say the facility is nice and clean but they need new honest people , someone that will actually care about people's goals not just their money !!!! since the day they showed me the gym I told they I was going to be moving so I couldn't do a contract , they said it wouldn't be a problem and that I could cancel , same thing with personal training. Everything was good then two weeks after signing up I was told I couldn't go in because I owed even pulled me aside and all the embarrassment over $10 freaking dollars. Even though no one told my why I had to pay that I still did just to go in and get my work out done , I told a manager and I was told it was a mistake and that they would give me a re found (that never happened).
Same thing happen to personal training , they said I could cancel turns out I can't now they keep taking money out my account .
They took over $900 out and I only went to one Class I told the personal trainer I was moving and couldn't do a contract he said "I got you " now that I'm asking why I can't cancel turns out it's a contract , also don't sign anything with out ready every single thing seems like the only way to get out of this mess is to be dead lol like for real

Zero stars. Charging me extra fees, didn't tell me, wouldn't help with their mistake. Basically said I'm responsible even when they weren't doing their job, And charging me two anual fees after giving their word they wouldn't. Horrible service. Even when it's new theySame employees, also. Women's dressing rooms are always dirty with hair. Although my concerns were never up to par, I loved the gym went every weekday. Daycare staff is amazing.

It's was cool, thought it was gonna be like planet fitness, but they had more equipment. Pretty much just like golds or LA, with out the sports stuff. Edit: thought it was cool, but then found out it's a contract membership lol who does contracts anymore, no bueno.

Great staff that is quite friendly and they love to see people come back. I haven't had any issues with them after 2+ years of being a customer. They have a few customer appreciation events throughout the year where you can get anything from water bottles to almost a full light meal. The personal trainers are good, although they could use some adjustments here and there. But if you are not looking for anything fancy, just a nice place to workout with treadmills and weights, come check it out. No spa or pool, just the basics, and try to sign up around holidays, they will often waive enrollment fees. And be sure to sign up under me! It will benefit the both of us, look for me on facebook if you decide to do so. I've included some photos of their supplement store.

This gym is awesome! I just started coming here about two months ago and I love this place. The staff is friendly and they actually greet customers with a smile. I come in the mornings and the atmosphere is the perfect way to start my day.

The equipment is good, it has everything that most people need for a complete body workout. The part I like the most is the ability to wipe down my equipment before I use it and after. Thanks to the spray bottles that are located throughout the gym.

I also can't beat the price! I literally can workout here all month for under the price I would pay for 2 Bic Mac Meals! Yes, Really! So there is no excuse to not join a gym with this much value for that price.

Also, I like to see all the different people here. Bigger people can workout here comfortably without judgement. Everybody has to start, but with hard work anyone can get better. There are some hard hitters in this gym too! It's just a great place to spend my mornings!

I workout here when I can which is great cause Monday - Thursday they are 24hours which works perfect for my schedule. And the weekends I can rest! The Zumba classes are great too. Great variety of equipment, weights, and machines to use! Staff is friendly and helpful. The Establishment is easy to find and affordable.
Definitely recommend!

Great gym for the price. The only complaint is that they have no squat rack but they do have a smith machine you can use to substitute but besides that they do have a nice environment which they keep clean, they also have a great staff always very friendly, and the equipment is in great condition. Overall five stars.

Definitely a nice gym. Been coming here about 3 months and only have one issue. They do not have a squat rack. You have to cling it for front squats or use the smith machine. Overall I do recommend this gym.
