I've been working out here for about 4 months now. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and engaging. The coach has crafted a long term workout regimine that is approachable for any fitness level and builds you up. Every exercise has modifications that can be done to progress you into the full movement and the coach is exceptional at helping people apply them. The group workout setting is motivating and there is a lot of personal attention from the coaches. Very highly recommended.

Great gym and owners! The people that attend are incredibly nice. Good mix of weightlifting, stretching, running, & breathing. Do it!

Absolutely incredible. Some of the most knowledgeable trainers in the Alamo area teach here. This place is far ahead of the curve in regards to functional training and implementation of everyday movements for those who struggle or want to improve greater range of motion .

hoooly mooooly was I all kinds of messed up when I was first introduced to Roots Fitness. I had been lifting for about 5 years and had all kinds of pain and dysfunction (especially in my hips and lats). I decided to try a couple sessions with andy after a suggestion from my little sister who had been working at Roots for some time. So i purchased a package with 6 sessions and I told myself that if after the 6 sessions I was still in pain I wouldnt continue.

Much to my surprise pain started diminishing after my first session and I had a better understanding of the way my body was supposed to move on top of what I needed to change to become a healthier individual.

It has been about 4 months since that time and now not only am I pain free but when I do get an injury or a tweak my body is able to recover quicker and I have an idea of how to fix the problem with little assistance/direction from the guys and gals at Roots.

On top of lack of pain, Andy encouraged me to conquer my fears of being in front of people and now I am competing in my first powerlifting competition.

Great things happen in this place if you come with an open and positive mindset willing to sweat a move a little...so happy I was introduced to a great group of people!

I could not fit all the kudos that this place deserves, The Gym is so much more than a gym. It is an escape from "The Gym" it a place of focus and a fun; an environment that will promote health both in and out. I realize that may seem "too new Age"; however, to the uninitiated I say try it. If you like to work out on your own please feel free to find your space for that. If you like to push yourself to the limit "bring it!" you can basically build your own experience and much more. Learning to use your body and adapting to the environment around you is bit funky at first but the benefits and results will be difficult to ignore. you'll see your friends will notice it too.
