The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The Union has something for everyone! Strength / endurance training , yoga , Pilates and so much more. They even offer kids yoga once a month and my kids truly enjoyed the experience as well.

A really amazing community! I have been practicing yoga for 7 years and have tried studios all over. The community they have created at the Union is extraordinary. It truly is a non-judgmental, supportive group of people whose focus is on healthy, meditative practice.
The facilities are simple and clean. The prices are average. The instruction is okay. And the class offerings are consistent and convenient. However, if I am in the area, I will always return to the Union because of the people (both staff and patrons) and the environment.

The Union is simply world-class. There are VERY few options in San Antonio where you could find a hot yoga/pilates studio AND do Crossfit under the same membership for a relatively low cost. This setup alone is fantastic because you get strength AND flexibility under one membership.

The instructors are friendly and very knowledgeable. They make attempts to get to know you along the way and once you become a regular, you can certainly find a friendly and encouraging community at the Union. One of the things I love about this community is that they recognize everyone has a starting point. Ive been to crossfit gyms where it was a super competitive environment. Ive been to yoga studios where people seemingly can nail a posture in less than 2 seconds. But this place is not judgemental and you get what you give into each session. The community of folks- from instructors to guests is simply fantastic.

What I also love about The Union is that there are three locations where you can practice so you will always meet new people and instructors. So if you cannot find a class that is conducive to your schedule or commute, you do have options. The weekend options are plentiful for the weekend warriors.

For those who are interested in finding more, I suggest giving them a call 30 minutes before a class starts/ends. Three years ago, before I became an active regular, I was first taken a back why no one answered the phones during business hours and why no one would help me out when I walked in during a session was in progress. Once I realized that the instructors are also your front desk folks, I totally understood why.

All locations have shower facilities so for the early birds and those who take classes between their commute, this is a god send. For those who complain that there is carpet in the yoga studio or about an "odor", it is better than slipping on slick floor because people are meant to work out in such an environment. Overtime, these are only truly minor distractions to the fitness you will receive. Sign up for The Union's Perkville app and earn points for working out!

Happy Sweats!

The Union is a healthy family environment like no other. The wide variety of classes is sure to benefit anyone looking to de-stress, get healthier, or to improve their body/mind. All the instructors and students alike bring their own unique energy and encouragement. The owners Lisa and Steve and all the staff do a great job creating and maintaining this wonderful and positive community. Being able to come to the Union is one of the best things about living in San Antonio. Thank you for always welcoming me and my family at the Union :)

Do NOT come here if you plan on practicing true yoga.

The room is carpeted and smells awful when you first walk in. The dialogue of the class was very similar to that of a cross fit class. Not relaxing at all and a very unsettling environment for someone who has practiced yoga for years. There was no flow for the class and the instructor didn't seem to understand that everyone has a different practice. She even said," For those of you who aren't first-timers here, you aren't allowed to take breaks." The only positive of my entire experience was that the room was truly heated and you did get a good sweat.

I joined the Union December 2017 and purchased an annual membership. I have spent more for memberships at other gyms or fitness locations and have not received anything close to the value that the Union provides. The instructors/teachers are pros that are very serious about helping their members reach their personal goals!

My experience at the Union started at the front desk. Whether it was Lyndse taking the time to make sure I chose the correct membership package for me or Nancy and Elisha making sure as a new member I felt welcomed and informed of events and class schedules.

My experience with the teachers has been amazing! I mentioned my personal goals to Liz one day and she not only explained to me what classes I should take to meet my goals the quickest. She took the time to create a personalized class schedule that fit into my daily availability. Liz went well above and beyond to help me. All the teachers make themselves available before and after class to answer questions, demonstrate poses or help you work on a pose. My experience in crossfit is that whether they are teaching the class or participating as a student in the class they are very passionate about you asking questions. Both in Yoga and crossfit they are laser focused on making sure they are available and are always providing the highest quality of class experience or knowledge exchange. What I have received as a member far exceeds the cost of my membership.

Since I have joined I have gained a host of friends both teachers and members. I have lost approximately 12 unwanted pounds and gained approximately 6 pounds of muscle. I exceeded my expectations in both yoga and crossfit. Which only leads to my coaches helping me establish new goals. The thing that I find most rewarding and telling is seeing the people who joined when I did or after improve and grow. That is the true litmus test! That speaks to the quality of the owners/instructors/staff and fellow members more than my review ever could.

I welcome you to come and try The Union for yourself! For a $20 week long unlimited membership you could have your own experience. I am confident you will not regret it.

If you pay a year in advance, be aware that money is theirs to keep, not refundable even if you are unable to practice. Everything about these place is fake. I call them the pretenders

We are very new to Crossfit and don't know a lot about the movements and have never been very good at exercise. However, everyone has been very helpful and friendly. Even though our workouts are scaled down significantly everyone still cheers us on like we are doing the same workout everyone else is doing. We haven't checked out the Yoga classes yet but will soon! Thank you for making us feel welcomed!

This place is horrible. Staff is rude, all the locations needs some deep cleaning and a complete renovation. This place should be shut down immediately and the staff needs to have extensive customer service training. All the people who went with me had the exact same opinion. Will never recommend this studio to anyone and will never go back.

Amazing staff and support! Great diversity in the type of classes and workouts offered. The Union is the BEST!!!

Always surrounded by loving and supportive individuals...it rains from the top all the way down.... owners, Stevan Falk and Lisa Ingle have created great studios that help to build the human spirit while transforming the physical bodies. And it keeps getting better....

I absolutely loved "Hot Pilates" and the instructors but one specific yoga instructor was absolutely rude. It's not cheap and I was driving 45 minutes to get to a class.
I complained and my friend and I discussed with a "manager" but never heard anything from them. Guess they don't mind losing customers.

Hot yoga is great for you but the room/carpet has to be cleaned regularly. The yoga studio smell of sweat and feet will KNOCK you over. Bleh!!!
