At best this is a mid tier public course with country club prices. Played twice in the winter and everything was doormat. No winter grass in 15 of the 18 tee boxes and no winter grass on the fairways which I don't understand since the other 2 nearby clubcorp locations of Prestonwood and Brookhaven both have it. Played it in the Spring and it wasn't awful but nothing special. Cart paths, fairways, out of bounce grass, and tee boxes where all better at Course 1 at Sherrill Park and Pecan hollow. I don't understand how anyone could pay over 500 a month to play at this course, it's at best average by public course standards.
Friendly folks at Canyon Creek Country Club. Attended many Meetups there with catered dinners. Always nice and clean with fresh flowers to greet you in the foyer. The view from the dining room is relaxing through the windows as you watch the golfers tee off and mingle on the green. Bling Blinky of Texas Shout Out: Community at Canyon Creek - very good!
This is a hidden place to get a meal. They have one of the best chicken fried steaks. The service is good. The sides are well prepared.
The country club house was used for company holiday party. Buffet style food and festive holiday drinks were very delicious. The three rooms helped divide the activities. Unfortunately the PA system cannot be heard in all rooms which made announcements made throughout the evening difficult to hear. All in all a good venue.
Beautiful course. It's always in great shape, even with dormant greens.
Canyon Creek Country Club Billing Department Will Not Call You Back
You keep overcharging me on my monthly bill. The invoice each month is less than what you overcharge to my credit card automatically. I'd really love to work this out, but since you all don't return calls or answer website inquiries, I had to resort to social shaming. I won't stop at Facebook, so hopefully someone will call me back soon.
Great food and atmosphere. Golf is great, check out the Rumble on Wed. at 6pm.
I joined under a program called loyalty, should be called extortion plus. IF you get hurt and cannot play, too bad, if you move out the county and join another Club Corp property, too bad. For the price it was barely worth it. Buyer beware.

I have been a member going on 4 years now and the course is in the worst shape it has ever been! I don't know what everyone on here is talking about how great the club and everything is you must be an avid golfer member or something. There has been nothing but empty promises every year at this club and nothing will ever change unless changes are made.

Thw place is located in a great place for all types of events. Google maps needs to update driving instructions to not tell you to go padt the left turn lane and go to make an illegal uturn in the city of Richardson, TX. The only city in America where it is strictly against the law to make any u-turn!!!!
For a Club Corp property the facilities we're more than adequate. Breakfast was fantastic. The golf course was in good shape. Play was right around 4 hours, not more than for a foursome.

I got married there in 1999, Ron and I have over a Million Dollars , At Canyon Creek... I Keith just Visited this weekend, from Phoenix, Az, The Mansion is Fantastic, its been 10 yrs since.. Nice course, the people are bastards for the most part but who cares they are doing what people do that are under paid and over worked. If places like this would pay there staff properly it would increase there profits they would maintain a higher group of customers , its not like they are hurting. Do yourselves a favor and take care of your people and I promise they will take care of your customers.
