This is a fantastic program. I always wanted to try karate, but never had the opportunity. I struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts, and this gave me a constructive environment to work on my body and mind. I have been in the program close to 6 months and I have earned my green belt just recently. If you are on the fence because they are operating thier school inside a church, dont. They aren't trying to force you to come on sundays or anything, they just want to empower you to be the champion you may not know you are yet!
Texas Karate Institute has been one of the best things we have done for our teenage daughter. She is not athletic and has always veered away from sports. When we signed her up at TKI we were skeptical that she would like it. But as soon as she put on her karate outfit and started working out on the mat, her whole perspective on Karate changed. The owner and instructors gave clear and precise directions. They also gave great support and guidance. She not only loved going to TKI but this is one activity she shines in. She absolutely loves it and gives her the opportunity to be involved in a sport. I cannot thank Mr David and his team of instructors for the help they have given my daughter. Since she started at TKI, she has grown in her self-esteem and feels more confident with her physicality. They have tailored her lessons to fit her needs and capabilities. Everyone involved has been so supportive and patient. They teach respect and honor. This is going way beyond just teaching karate. I am so grateful for Texas Karate Institute. Thank you!

The classes are helping me become more active and develop a healthier lifestyle. I have enjoyed participating in the the daytime homeschool classes with my kids and other families as well as evening classes with just adults. I have been encouraged by the instructors and others in the classes, all working to help each other succeed in reaching their goals, both in karate and outside.
Texas Karate Institute is a exciting place for all ages to learn martial arts by owner Mr. David Mason and instructors that are top notch. This school has been around since 1962 for this reason! All of the classes are taught by black belts that focus on excellence and on each individual student's abilities to bring out their very best. The skills you learn here last your life time! Thank you for always making me feel like family when I am there!
The Instructors and Atmosphere are AWESOME!! Enrolled my daughter, and in less than a month,the since of pride and confidence is simply unbelievable!!!! You don't just get martial arts training, discipline, self-confidence, and sense of honor are built in. My daughter cant hide the sense of accomplishment and pride when she was awarded her first belt.She expressed desire to get to the next belt level, and several instructors quickly stepped forward to encourage her. Texas Karate Institute is warm and inviting, with a family friendly atmosphere.

Our two boys trained here for twelve years until they graduated high school. Both received their black belts. One leads a martial arts club at a service academy and the other is teaching at the school. I see first hand the high quality result of their program. TKI is like a family too.
My grandson has learned so much at Texas Karate Institute. He's a green belt now and he's only 5 years old. His father, my son, is now a student as well! Four years ago I began my journey at Texas Karate Institute to achieve my fitness goals. The program has brought me a ton of added confidence and some of my greatest mentors in life are the instructors at the school. The workouts get you into shape very quickly and the classes are fun. If you're looking for a martial arts school that will help you achieve the greatest you than can be, look no further.
