We have been going here the past 2 years and I am so thankful for their "family-first" mentality, how they are mentoring the young kiddos and the awesome sport they are teaching my daughter! The camps are amazing in the summertime and the day-to-day classes are awesome! I would highly recommend ASL!

ASl JunSur Martial Arts has been a HUGE plus in the strategic character and leadership development of our son Aaron. Now in his 4th year- he has thrived under the direction and constant coaching by the staff. His experience this summer in South Korea training with the best of the best in Taekwondo really boosted his skill level and confidence ad well as competency to serve in a assistant teaching role at the Do- Jon!

I have been doing Taekwondo for five years, and every time I go there I learn a little about almost everything. From being fit, to self-defense and to even having a lot of self- confidence. Asl Junsur Martial Arts has not only helped me in the Martial Arts School, but it has also helped me in school. Master Asl has gave us talks about bulling and how to become a better student and how to be a black belt. In my time being here I have learned so much and I am so thankful of being apart of our taekwondo family.

We are so in love with this school, we have two boys that are in classes two days a week there. They are learning and growing every class they go to. The camp days when school is out are so helpful with two working parents and I know my children are in great hands when they walk in the door. Not only have they gotten more responsible but their behaviors have completely changed. They are truly excited every time I tell them it's time to go.

I have very active boys who struggle with focus and attention and this program has helped SO MUCH! On the first day, I apologized for one of my son's lack of attention because I felt he may disrupt the class. Master ASL replied that "We are here to help him with focus and we are going to try different things and see what works with Mark. This is what we do." What a contrast!!! Since then, my boys are setting goals, focusing better and completing their homework faster. I strongly recommend this program to other parents like me.

We are so grateful for Asl Junsur for helping kids to become empowered

Our son LOVES this place. They're incredible with the children and very attentive to the parents. We learned of ASL from other parents around our neighborhood and enrolled based on their glowing reviews. We couldn't be happier that we took their advice. Wonderful after school program and martial arts classes. Very much looking forward to the summer camps as well! HIGHLY recommended.

We signed our pre-k son up for a trial after a friend of a friend raved about ASL JunSur. I'm SO glad we did! Our son has had so much fun in class and is working hard on controlling his body, focusing, sitting like a black belt and being a confident, kind young boy. He truly looks forward to class twice a week and can't wait to earn the new stripes and belts. I HIGHLY recommend the classes. We'll be having the next kids bday party here!

I am going to start by saying that I have never been good at sports. I have always been a tad on the clumsy side while practicing a sport so I have never been hooked with any sports, even though I tried. I am 41 years old now, and with the exception of 4 years of yoga practice 8 years ago, I have never worked out in my life.! I have tried, but nothing ever got me hooked. I also developed a condition called "insulin resistant" a few years back, it basically means that my trigs and cholesterol levels are to the roof and that I deposit all that fat in my middle section. I take medication for it, but have never been able to loose weight, even after I tried and tried by changing my diet and exercising, it didn't matter what I did, my body was stuck.

One day I found ASL JunSur, they offered 3 classes and a free uniform. Learning a little bit of self-defense sounded great so I went for it. Its been 6 months now and I will try my very best to not miss one class. I will rush from work, try and beat traffic and make it to my class. I thought I was reaching an age when everything starts breaking and squeaking and I have now realized how wrong I was. I am stronger, leaner, healthier and I love how my body feels now. I learned how to be more disciplined in my practice and I LOVE IT. Master is a great teacher to the little ones and to the not so little ones like me. I have asked my friends to come and give it a try and I highly recommend this place. Everybody is nice and helpful.

Master asked us one day what putting on the belt meant to us. I gave it a good thought and for me, putting on my now yellow belt means empowerment. I can make my body do what I am taught, I can kick higher and higher every time and I can get better.

I have been going to this Martial Arts school for 6 years, and I couldn't be happier ever since I started. The classes are great with excellent teachers. They also offer an awesome after school program for working parents. But it's also not just for kids, as they offer an adult class 3 times a week. I'm always excited to go and meet new people almost every day.

We found ASL JunSur when we had a birthday party here before my son started going to the martial arts classes. Once we saw how amazing Master ASL and his team of professional instructors were, we were instantly hooked. My child has grown immensely in his discipline outside of class and I attribute this to the training and how the program instills excellence in all areas of the child's life beyond just his martial arts training. The owners also demonstrate a true desire to be a part of the Richardson and surrounding communities by hosting regular community events such as Taco night, parents night out events and regular camps where all members (and non-members) have the opportunity to partake in and become a part of the ASL JunSur Martial Arts family. Needless to say, I'd highly recommend any child try ASL!

In just a short time we have seen our son blossom! He entered the first day with such heightened anxiety that he couldn't even attend the class. Since then he has grown to LOVE every moment! We have seen his confidence, attention and JOY strengthen.

I'm a serious martial artist and all I can say about this place is it is a watered down american rip off of Taekwondo. Taekwondo schools over the years have become sort of this art that teachers can show to kids and play it off like they are actually learning something. This school is really just an expensive P90x class. I went here to try out this school to see how it went. So after a short phone call to schedule a time to take a loot at the school I was told I had to pay $20 to get my GI, and to attend 3 classes. This was a little fishy but I just went with it assuming it was a good class. Now let me get into the actual class. We did ONE technique in an over an hour long class. I'll repeat, ONE. Now I don't mean that we spent the whole class learning this technique. The last five minutes of class he decided that we were going to learn axe kicks then we did about 20 of them both sides and called it a day. The rest of class was spent doing workouts and such to gain strength. We did a lot of squats and a lot of push ups. Now don't get me wrong this sort of stuff is important and all but it's not necessarily important to learning Taekwondo. I'm a skinny guy as is and I don't need a cardio workout when I want to learn Taekwondo. His 'self defense" techniques are a mix of Hopkido and some basic karate self defense techniques. I've down a bit of Jiu Jitsu, I'm actually transferring from JiuJitsu to this. On the website it states that the master is a black belt in Jiu Jitsu. I went to try to talk to him about it and he seemed to be totally clueless about it, on top of that he didn't really seem interested in talking to me, a possible student. I think if you are a parent looking to enroll your child into a martial arts school you should look elsewhere this is really not worth your child's time. Try to find a school that teaches traditional Taekwondo not this watered down American Taekwondo.

We absolutely love ASL! In addition to making it so convenient by picking up from school, ASL has instilled confidence in our son. He is a much better listener and seems to have more respect for people and his things. Thank you, ASL!
