Have been coming to this gym for a little over 2 weeks with my wife. For all intents in purposes this gym is a great, compact gym for the person that is looking to get a work out and go. The abundance of machines allows you to get a workout doing something even during crunch time. While not being a 24/7 location there are others that offer at least a few days a week of being open all day. The sign up was easy without any pressure for commitment. Everything was explained thoroughly. We took it a step further and signed up with a personal trainer and it has been a great experience. The initial consultation wasn't much more than your typical - this is why you need this service and look at what can happen if you apply it appropriately. The difference from that and the approach we've received other places is that they took the time to make sure that we understood that our health was a priority over everything else versus package choosing. We were assigned to workout with Tim and he has dedicated a lot of his time to work with us and our busy schedule. From keeping us motivated and pushing us when we aren't pushing ourselves to going a step further and communicating with us when we aren't in the gym to make sure we are still doing key things to keep making progress he consistently embodies with an ideal trainer should be. If you're looking for a gym to make progress, maintain, or simply get a casual work out in, give Youfit a shot.
*** EDIT ***

Griselda, Angel, Regional, and District Manager... I am not sure what these people are doing in their positions. Between them- my contract has been done incorrectly, "fixed" only to need to be fixed again. Angel tried to keep things smooth and was the one that had the answers to my questions most of the time so I cannot really anything against him. Griselda is the one that would return my phone calls only to answer everything with "I don't know", "I'm not sure", and argue points that she did not have a clue about. R&D Managers- they were the ones that we supposed to fix things when they weren't done correctly the first time but... whatever they did did not go through correctly. Their timing in talking to me about the issue was inappropriate as well. They got me at the beginning of my personal training session instead of talking to me afterwards. After several headaches and disappointing phone calls- I was able to cancel the extension on my personal training beyond the minimum 3 months- although Griselda was adamant that I was responsible for 4 months calling the first month a processing fee... I fully expect to be charged in August and have to repeat the process again due to an error but at least I've got everything in writing from my attempts to cancel in writing prior to the deadline as well as their negligence and incapability to get things done.

Jesse (front desk) and Tim (Personal trainer) did the best that they could to represent their company well and conveyed a professional attitude and knowledge about the process of things. Why they are not in manger positions is beyond me.

Two months ago, I went in and inquired about having my 11 year old work out, to build stamina on club sports, and was told I needed to upgrade my membership, and sign a waiver for her to do so.
FAST FORWARD, we just tried to have her start working out. DENIED!
Not only did the rep lie to me about being able to have her work out, when we attempted to check in then the front desk tells me she has to be 13. In thinking that this was a mistake, I ask for the manager. She tells me the policy is 13, and then asks me who told me she could come and work out. At the same time she tells me it's company policy, and begins to blame her staff, citing she'd only been there since April. ( Griselda's her name, stop in and say hello) . AFTER all this, a boy walks in about the same age as my daughter.

My problem: 1.) Why upsell me and tell she could work out, if the policy was 13, and 2.) Why blame the short comings on understanding a policy that is obviously not being enforced (the other kid whose parents obviously lied on the waiver). CAUTION.

This is the by far the worst gym I have ever joined in. I have a lime card and when I registered for the membership I was told that I will get half price on all of their drinks and I can check in 1 guest. One day I didn't have my card with me and all of a sudden the staff act like they don't know that I have a like card. I come to this gym Monday-Friday, I was getting my drinks half price and check in a friend once in awhile. All of a sudden they're telling me I can't get my drink half off and my friend can't come in unless he pays for a day pass. Now, the staff that are at the front desk see me all the time and check me in. This gym will rip you off, take your money and refuse to give the service that you're supposed to get. I DO NOT suggest this gym. Many people that I've met here already cancelled their membership because of bad service and over charges.

I love the youfit locations that are near me in Richardson/Plano. However, this facility didn't seem as nice or as clean as those. The worst part being the drinking fountains that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. The spouts have pink scum around them and the lower fountain was filled with crumbs(?). Both are covered in water stains. Regardless, I tried the water and it tasted weirdly metallic. I probably won't be going back to this location.

Customer service is terrible. Gym is dirty. Employees are too busy putting on makeup to assist customers. Go to the gym in Garland. Way better staff and clean gym. Manager should be fired for allowing staff to be disrespectful.

I've been a member since May '16 and have had no major issues at all. The management and staff has always been friendly, the bathrooms clean, and the equipment, for the most part, has been in very good working condition.

Even though I was just starting out and on the month-to-month plan, I never was nor felt pressured into signing a long term contract. However, early on I was "encouraged" a few times to schedule an initial free evaluation that came with my membership, but that subsided by the end of the first month and have not been asked to do so again.

I would recommend Youfit, especially as you can bring a guest for free if you want.

I love this place..its very clean, the fees are reasonable, no contract and the front desk is usually pretty friendly especially the males, there has been a few times were a few of the females were rude and unfriendly but I don't let that bother me, I'm not there for them. I'm there at least 6 times a week and I enjoy being there the atmosphere is pleasant and friendly they have some of the best equipment any gym can offer. If you are looking for a good place to go and work out this is definitely the place..
