Cons- Its not the cleanest place. The stretch mats are always dirty. The bathroom almost always has an overflowing urinal with urine/water on the floor, also stinks most of the time. Its over crowded in the evening and you have to wait to use equipment. They don't always keep the equipment clean and in order. Pros- easy access, lots to offer, smoothie bar.
This LA fitness location is slightly older and the equipment is older too. It's well organized and not crowded. The racquetball court and basketball courts are very good with comfortable flooring. The cycling class is ok and the other class schedules are available as well. The bathrooms are not super clean but ok as well.
The staff is pushy to join the club and may be annoying.
Been coming here for awhile, 6 months or so. Decided to bring a friend in for a 5 day free trial.
The man signing us up was extremely aggressive in his sale tactics and caught an attitude when we told him we wanted to try the gym before paying today. He dragged it out as long as possible and kept trying to get a credit card from me or my friend. Wouldn't take no for an answer.
Try Family Fitness or something else if you want to be respected and not treated like a walking dollar bill.
Nice place to workout, no problems, wish the price was lower.
I work out here purely out of convenience. Ladies locker room is always filthy. I've commented to front desk several times but no change. I've noted the same stains and filth in the floors and don't believe they are more than swept on occasion. Now no locks on the bathroom stalls I've been twice since last week. How hard are locks? Privacy in the toilet stall is pretty basic.
Great clean gym. Unused weights are always racked and I haven't seen any garbage on the floor. Staff is also super friendly.

Great gym. The gym has a fantastic and friendly group of regulars. The place is always clean. There's plenty of space too. Fun place to workout.

Gym is ok for the price. Weights are left on the machines so you have to remove the plates and then load yours. Water fountains have warm water and customers use them to spit in.
I've been to LA gyms all over DFW and this one is great. super open lay out, locker rooms are clean. like all locations the equipment is slightly different so you can change it up. the juice bar is actually open at convenient times (can't say that for most LA's). great place for a work out.

This place would get 5 stars if I solely base it off of McKinney Brett is a great general manager and the people there are all like family but if you base it off of the other clubs in Dallas Fort Worth ehh not so much
I just loved that gym. People was so nice. I don't no if I was knew yo the gym. I will go back when I'm in the area to see.

The trainer seems very helpful and friendly, always greats us with a smile and a great attitude. Most of the machines seem to be functioning when we are there. As far as sweaty machines, I haven't noticed any of that. We are very pleased with the staff and the service we are getting. Looking forward to the new machines and the remodel!!!

Poor management. Was told my 8 year old could accompany me during my workouts upon signing up. They did not keep their word and stopped us as we walked in. I genuinely was in shock. I cancelled my membership on the spot. Save your money and go somewhere else. It is sad that people don't keep they're word these days.
I've only just recently joined this gym due to my previous gym unceremoniously shutting down without telling the members!!
Taking a balance between the variety of equipment and the fees, I have given four stars. I've seen a lot of comments about staff which I haven't personally dealt with, but within the few weeks I have been there the members definitely need some education about gym etiquette.
Don't leave your dumbells lying on the floor when you are done!
Don't leave plates on the bar/machine when you are done!
Don't place 6 different personal items on six different work-out stations to secure your "domain"!
Wipe the freaking benches down when you are finished!
Don't walk in front of the mirror when someone is doing a set!
Leave your phones and "bromances" at the door, the gym floor is for working out, not standing around gaping at phones!
"Working in" on a piece of equipment is not theft!
So, maybe this isn't a review of LA Fitness, per say, but hopefully it puts the place in perspective.
I joined this gym as a second option to work out with a buddy. The fees seemed low enough to justify having a second gym but it actually turned out to be more expensive than they told me and the facility is pretty bad. There isn't enough equipment, so things like ankle strap (for low cables) & other workout gear you will probably have to bring yourself. They actually have them but the employees won't let you use them unless you sign up for a personal training session. Absolutely crazy how rude some of these people are. Save your money and find another gym.
If you don't have to deal with staff, it's a fine workout. I found them (staff) to be quite rude and disrespect lately, especially in mgmt. You are nothing but a $ bill to them. All the staff on Falcon and Custer are the best
Good place for a typical gym visit. They have a lot of options although some of their equipment seems older than other locations. I don't go at peak hours so can't speak to how busy it gets, but during the early afternoon hours and early Saturday morning there's never a crowd or wait.
The place is OK, what do you expect for $19 a month probably get more than we deserve
I don't understand all the negative reviews. As someone who is heavy set, I have gone in the past few days with a goal, and have been helped every step of the way. And while I can't speak for the results of their personal training (As I've just had my evaluation) I CAN say, the staff has been VERY helpful, and seemed genuinely interested in getting me where I need to be. I think some people are frustrated with the way LA fitness handles cancellations of contracts, but honestly, in the state of Texas, you have a 3 day buyer's remorse for gym memberships over 500 dollars. If you have an issue, don't even deal with the branch, and you don't have to worry about it.
While the machines aren't the newest at this location, I feel VERY welcomed, as aforementioned, being heavy set, a welcoming gym is a fresh breath of air.
This won't be the Fanciest gym in the world, but if you come to work out, the machines are clean, the locker room is spotless, and the pool is spacious.
Really think I'm going to fall in love with this place. :)
By far the filthiest LA Fitness location I've been. Treadmills with sweat dripping that anyone can tell has been sitting there for days and lots of dust on machines. Restrooms need lots of attention. If you care about a clean gym, this is not the best option. Look elsewhere.

It is very sad to see the level of service at this location decline dramatically! Communication is horrible and management (especially Louis) doesn't care about their members at all. All they want is the money. I'll be finding a new gym as soon as possible. This is the most convenient to my home and was hoping that it would be a good experience, but they have let me down.
