Inquired about a few programs, and though they unfortunately dont practice the one I was hoping to find, customer service was top tier, even going as far as to try to help me find a place with what I was looking for. The genuine care for a potential customers interests show they are definitely doing a lot of things right.

This has been the best thing for my daughter. It has given her so much confidence and helped her meet her goals in school also. She loves all the training and is learning self defense as well. I definetly recommend you being your kids in and atleast do a trial to see what you think. You wont regret it!

My daughter has been struggling with confidence. Since she has been enrolled with martial zen her confidence has boosted and so has her attitude.
I love how all the instructors know all the young students by name. Martial zen is like a family to us!

I love being able to go watch my "Bella's boy" get his stripes and belts knowing he worked so hard not only at his kung fu, but even more work outside of the academy, in school and at home! He has become such a respectful little man in the time he has been working with Martial Zen Academy.

My son was having a huge attitude problem and we had tried a trial at another martial arts program which did not work, so when my wife opted into a trial membership at Martial Zen, I was hesitant. The changes he has made in the 4 months he has been on his black belt path, have been so amazing. His focus in school has improved, he is doing chores at home, and his physical strength is well beyond his age! Even his 3 yr old sister is saying yes sir and yes ma'am. Martial Zen has not only taught him self improvement and discipline, but has also encouraged us as parents to incorporate these in all aspects of his life!

He actually acted out right before he was to earn his first stripe, and they explained to him how important our behavior is. He didn't receive that stripe on time, but the lesson couldn't have been timed better. I am so thankful for the discipline has learned in only couple of months!!!

I was introduced to Marital Zen through our home-school group. I was given a card for 8 free lessons and a free uniform. Our child chose karate as the "gym" part of their education and after the free lessons we would join the school.
I signed a contract, assuming that it would begin AFTER the 8 free lessons....big mistake.
I read the contract in full, I understood its rules and my obligations. I thought the contract was extremely restrictive but I continued forward under complete naivety . I did not ask direct questions about costs or when the contract would begin; once again, assuming it would be understood that a consumer would want to take advantage of a free offer...... I was wrong.
When I learned of the outrageous expense associated with the "masters program" my child had attended 5 classes(about 9 days). I chose to withdrawal. At that point I was told that I had signed a contract that did not begin after the free month and I was considered past the 3 day cancellation period and will owe the school first and last months tuition as well as an "administrative fee".
Before I withdrew I thought the staff were people of integrity and models of the tenants of karate. But after this confusion with the contract and costs, I see that the staff is more concerned with money, more than anything. The companies business practices are manipulative, confusing and unreasonable. The costs are exorbitant and much higher than other schools in the area. Do not make the mistake I made. Be very careful, ask very direct questions, understand the costs and DO NOT SIGN anything until the free lessons are over.
If the company would just do the right thing; be more concerned with costumer service than the dollar there would not be a deeply unsatisfied customer. Now you can be sure I will tell everyone not to join this school.
