Opens June 17th at 10 a.m. I am so very glad that they open a Planet Fitness I was a member of another local club that well it's not silver let's just put it that way.
And they were screwing me.
Planet Fitness is clean very reasonably priced and the people were just super I visited the one in Harlingen and was super welcomed and the music was not so damn loud you couldn't hear your own voice. They have a lot of equipment if you pay 12 bucks extra a month for massages and for tanning I think it's really really really worth it I am so happy I'm going to be joining today and going to Harlingen until they open here I highly recommend it if you've been to the other clubs you're going to be pleasantly surprised. They have training but they do not charge extra for it it's not personal trainer but it's pretty personal.

Great orientation! There is no need to feel intimidated about joining the gym. This is a gym for everyone, no judgement, with friendly staff who is there to guide you every step of the way!

The Harlingen location has ample room. Plenty of equipment. The Weslaco location is a little crowded.

The best things about this place are how clean it always is, how everything is always stocked, machines work, the staff is helpful and it's properly ventilated.

Love this Place.. it's always clean and friendly staff.. it's busiest day is on Monday and slowest day is Friday.. it's affordable and You can take a guest for free.. the only thing I hate is how bright it is in there.. I see come out with a migraine everyday.. I want to wear shades but people will probably think I'm high lol.. Over all though Great place..

I'm totally new to the gym experience and I must say that after having been a member for almost a month, I really enjoy planet fitness. It's a comfortable atmosphere, everyone is in their own zone doing there own thing because there's so much space for privacy. Plenty of machines for everyone. The locker rooms are nice, the place is very clean. However, I wish the staff was more willing to get out on the floor and show new members the layout and how to properly use equipment. I wasn't offered a tour or given a breakdown of the more unfamiliar equipment that someone such as myself who's new to the gym would have no clue how to use. This is the only problem about planet fitness that made me not want to give 5 stars.

I have the best trainer in the world. She puts you to work Right. I couldn't have ask for a better one. Her name is Diana and she often does a great job on her classes. I have seen results. Love my gym.

This place deserves 5 stars. It's Planet Fitness!
Very clean facility. Large floor with lots of room, and high quality fitness equipment. Come in here, hit the machines with some focus and intensity and get a good workout.
Be sure to get a Black Card membership. The massage chairs and hydromassage alone make it well worth it.
Incredibly friendly staff. They were some of the warmest and outgoing I've ever seen in visiting hundreds of locations.
Locker rooms/bathrooms were very spacious.
Lots of available parking.
Comparing Planet Fitness it to other kinds of gyms doesn't make any sense. It is what it is and needs to be judged by it's own merits. If you wanna get in shape, you can do it here, for an incredibly competitive price.

Great value no frills gym with membership rates of $10 or $20 per month. Plenty of cardio equipment, the treadmills are life fitness brand which is the same brand used at higher end gyms. They also have 30 minute and 12 minute individual circuits in lieu of scheduled classes. No swimming pool, racquetball courts, or sauna unfortunately. What they lack in amenities they make up for in superb decoration. The free tootsie rolls are a nice touch, but the "spa & tanning" machines are not worth it.

Ive been with the gym since it opened in January, overall the equipment is nice and like everyone says not much of free weights or barbells, but still try to make the most out of what is available. Im more into cardio and enjoy the good amount of treadmills and eliptical machines. Only drawbacks ive seen are that you have members who are on their cell phones just occupying weight machines without any consideration for other members.Last thing is the staff needs to be a little more courteous.

This place is a joke, they give you tootsie roll candies, also free pizza. are they trying to not help you loose weight so you can keep going with no results. Also not free weight squat machine, no bench press, only free weights there are is some dumbbells. I can't work out chest on a smith machine since i feel i am not centered enough and I feel like one side is overworking more than the other which can result in injury. I gave it two stars because I like how everything is new and clean and the tanning and massage area.
