Our family loves the classes here. The instructors are friendly, take their time and ensure each participant receives attention while making them feel part of a team. I have also attended the yoga classes offered here, and the instructor is wonderful.
What an amazing group of people. I had the chance to go to their Saturday open mat this past summer. Seriously if you are in the area, a long layover, or an overnight you should try and make it to one of their open mats. (11 mins from dfw airport)
They start the open mats with a 30 min Q&A session if you want help with any technique, move or game plan. They had 3 black belts helping people out. No team drama, no fee, no bs. Seriously welcoming and helpful team.
Will definitely be back next time im in the dfw area. Hoping they have a patch so that i can add it to my collection.
Ps: Is not hard to understand why is called sloth bjj once you roll with them... slow, steady, heavy pressure...
Incredible instructors and amazing students. I started at Sloth about 10 months ago with no martial arts experience. I was a little intimidated by the idea of going into a BJJ school and getting thrown in with the sharks, but I was instantly impressed by how easy-going and laid back Nathan and his students were. I felt welcome immediately, and I really enjoyed learning technique from a top level BJJ instructor. Almost a year later, I'm in better shape, have lots of new friends, and I've actually learned a fair amount of Jiu Jitsu. I can't say enough about how great this school is. If you're interested in learning BJJ, come roll with us!
Great school. I have been going there for about 3 months now. Great culture and environment. Coaches are very patient and you can learn not only at your pace but can go as hard or as easy as you want when grappling/practicing. I am having my wife join next month because I enjoy it so much. Also, it's the best workout. Thank you Nathan.

Contacted Nathan about dropping in while we were visiting Dallas for the weekend. Starting from the communication with him, to the visit to the gym, my experience was absolutely incredible. I have been to several world class Jiu Jitsu gyms as well as smaller gyms and honestly this has been by far one of the best.
I could not have imagined visiting a gym from out of town and truly feeling like family upon my arrival. The Sloth team made me feel like I had been training there for years. Everyone was extremely welcoming, while being very tough, and great partners.
If you are looking for highly technical training as well as a home away from home, look no further. If you are looking for somewhere for your family to train, I would not hesitate to come here. Thank you Nathan and thank you to the morning crew! I look forward to coming again.
Give him a call, drop in, and give it a try.

I had a blast knowledgeable top notch instructor very fun atmosphere great students .im visating from phila and they treated me like famiky i will be back
Friendly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym featuring an amicable coach, quality training and an inclusive community of members.
When I had to stay in the area for 5 weeks, I decided to train at Sloth in order to fill my free time and pursue my new favorite hobby of BJJ. The head instructor, Nathan, was more than accommodating with my special situation.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Nathan is a talented instructor who can expertly balance that fine line between productive training and a fun environment. I learned a lot and had a blast doing it. Nathan loves coaching and it shows. The classes had just as many jokes and laughs as they did serious training.
Though I am still a complete beginner to BJJ, I learned a lot at Sloth. Nathan often gave me one-on-one coaching in class to help me understand complex techniques. My game improved greatly because of this.
Finally, it is important to recognize how hospitable his body of students were. During my training, everyone made it a point to get to know me despite knowing that I would leave town in only a few weeks. I truly miss many of my training partners at Sloth who I was beginning to grow friendships with. Nathan and the guys even took me out to dinner after my last practice. They are really a great group of guys.
Come to Sloth BJJ. Train hard. Have fun.
I reached out to the staff over at Sloth BJJ, as I was going to be in the Dallas area on a business trip, and wanted to get some training in. I arrived for the evening class, and it was no-gi training week. What a welcoming place! I felt like I was back at my academy. After a quick warm-up, we got into the movements of the day and some rolls. Let me tell you something about jiu jitsu guys in TX...they're GOOD. Most of them have wrestling backgrounds, and now they're converting those skills to BJJ. I'm a blue belt, and had to bring it against some of the more seasoned white belts in the room. I also got to roll with Professor Nathan, and he tightened up some things in my no-gi game, as I don't train outside of the gi much. Thank you for that. Another thing I noticed is the mats were CLEAN. I'm kind of OCD, when it comes to mat space. The grounds were free of hair, dust and sweat spots. As the class of the day was over, Professor got to the cleaning, prior to closing. There's a young crop of BJJ players at this fairly new school...but if you're looking to join some tough competition, a stress-free team, with a seasoned coach..look no further in the Euless area. Thank you again Team Sloth BJJ! Oss!

Check this place out. Laid back and everyone is welcome from beginners to high level grapplers. I was stuck at DFW airport hotel on business for a week and this place made my week like a vacation. Was a walk-in, welcomed like a regular and learned allot in my short stay. Again, check it out if in DFW area.

I've been training at Sloth for a year now, and its really something special. Nate is a great teacher and takes time with each student. He's really built a brotherhood with the team. Recommend anyone who wants to try Jiu Jitsu to come in and give it a try!

Wow! The instructors here CARE! Nathan and the team at Sloth BJJ are really, truly invested in your development. Not just in martial arts but, as a better hu man being. They are dedicated to their craft and the pursuit of PERFECT customer service. I have been training for 13 years and have yet to meet an organization and coaching staff that supersedes their goals of caring about their students and the place they train everyday.
Awesome place. Awesome people. If I could give 10 starts, I would.

Nathan contacted me over social media when I was looking for a new place to train. The thing that really got me was he was suggesting every where else to me because it was closer. Once he realized I was looking for a place to train more casually, but could still compete if I wanted he recommend I visit his gym (also he realized I didn't mind a 25-30 minute drive to train). I loved it immediately and signed up the same day. Still have no regrets. This gym was exactly what I was looking for.

I came in for the week from out of town and wanted to do a little training/rolling while I was here and found Sloth BJJ online. For a newer school that's only been opened for 6 months, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the instruction and caliber of the students here. Coach Hallford was very inviting when I inquired about dropping in, and he seemed genuinely invested in his students during the class. I can see this school better and better as it grows and would highly recommend this school to anyone. I will definitely be dropping in again from time to time.
I have been training with Coach Nathan and the team for a month now and it was the best decision I made. Everyone I have met and trained with through Sloth BJJ have been great. Great people, great environment, and the best training.
Awesome place, been there since the beginning! Great group of people! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to start Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
My son and I both started training with Nathan at the end of May. In the Sloth adult class I'm the oldest(47) and my son is the youngest(17), but the team inviroment and Nathan's teaching style make Sloth a great place to learn no matter your age or training background. After only two months of training at Sloth and with no previous bjj experience, my son took what he learned at Sloth from Nathan and entered the AGF Dallas Summer Classic. Nathan was there the whole time to coach him to a silver in Adult no gi and gold in juvenile gi!
Come join us!
Having trained at two larger gyms in the past my experience here has blown them away. The instructors are top notch and class size allows you to have any questions answered almost immediately. Highly recommended if you plan on starting BJJ.
