I have been training here for the past 3 years. Great workouts and community. At 55 I am stronger and fitter than I have ever been. If you are looking for a fun, well thought out, safe place to get in the best shape of your life it is here.
Coming from a land of competitive crossfit, I am always a little skeptical of new gyms. The alpha project met and surpassed my expectations. The individual testing and performance monitoring gives members individual programming with weight lifting so that you are always working within your own limits, but pushing yourself to the maximum. The small class size allows the coaches to pay special attention to form, making sure you are doing the exercises correctly, and prevent injury. The group setting allows for friendly competition, but not so much that it is intimidating. Because all the exercises are based on you and improving yourself, this gym is appropriate for all fitness levels. Beginners and advanced athletes will both be pushed to improve, and the excellent coaches are able to give individual attention to all members in the class. I would highly recommend this gym to everyone in the Dallas area!
I started training with Rob Lord in 2008. The improvements in strength, endurance, energy and balance are noticeable after just two weeks of three time per week training. Working out with a small group insures that Rob is constantly paying attention to your form and the proper amount of weight for your condition.
Unfortunately I've had to interrupt training on two different occasions due to orthopedic surgery caused by skiing injuries. Both times Rob assisted in rehabilitation and was sensitive to my limitations until I was able to fully "come back" Then there were "no more excuses!"
The Alpha Project program works better than any personal training program I've ever participated in.
The alpha project is the best place to get training if you want to out perform others, or just look better than everyone else. I have been going here for about 3 months, and seen so much improvement in my body, and massive gains in all my lifts. Wow what a different gym. Its tough t to find a personal trainer who does more than just some cookie cutter workout. Rob sits down with a calculator and has the exact weight for each person, the exact reps, and then you have a crew your working with to push yourself. Mad sick.
If you are looking for a great workout, with great results, the Alpha Project is for you. It is a great strength and conditioning workout and you will soon get stronger and more fit! You'll also get personalized attention since the classes are so small.
