Moved to a new job that offers a gym membership. I liked LA Fitness, but it was free with work so It didnt make financial sense to have 2 memberships. I went in trying to cancel and waited 20mins for someone to help me. Once I met with someone they canceled my membership which resulted in an additional charge roughly 25 days after my monthly renewal. Also, I was NOT on a contract. If I paid my for my first months membership when i signed up (which is what they said when I cancelled) how do i owe an additional payment if I'm 5 days from my billing date? Billing is done in ADVANCE because I owned my first month to sign up. I'd be curious to know how much money is made this way by making billing difficult for customers.

Great workout while traveling for Keller Williams Family Reunion. Tons of cardio machines, lots of weights. Went at a high traffic time, still had ability to jump on all machines we needed, including squat racks.

When you see "signature" and a higher price tag, you'd expect more. The place was extremely crowded, machines were old, and clearly not cleaned. Towels and spray were all far away so no one bothered to wipe down their machines. Did a spin class which was the only good part of the experience. Our first day we got a tour, and Trey, sales rep, didn't even bother to take us upstairs to show us the other half of the gym. After being finished, we had to wait 15 minutes to get our IDs back since we were on a guest pass, and we even had to ask twice to get them. For the money it is NOT worth it.

Nice easy going gtm. Gets pretty busy on Saturdays, but traffic is pretty slow on Sunday Morning.

Zumba classes all suck because the instructors are never here, or have little to no rhythm. Hana's class was good, but now that she's gone, the rest of the options are either never here or can't dance.

Great location, but unsanitary. They have no wipes or sprays to wipe the machines. The place used to be nice when it opened. Now at peak times, it smells. They really need to up the deodorizer and place cleaning solutions and wipes.

Enjoy the zumba class on Monday, Hana really makes you sweat! Interested in trying the tuesday class with a different instructor for some variety, but overall pretty consistent.

Tons of Cardio machines means you never have to wait and the trainers are pretty sociable people as well.

Kinda dirty and a little shady on some days twice now I've been weirded out in the ladies locker room once by a woman who seemed homeless and was just hanging out... Another time by a strange lady asking for a ride home.. The gym has all the right equipment and the staff is ok... But its often crowded and sometimes the lockers smell bad... As a signature Gym you'd think it would have much higher standards... All in all... Ok for a gym but they should monitor guests a little closer and air out the lockers

I used to love this gym as it has a great layout and is walking distance from where I live. However, in the last few months the place has fallen apart. Cleanliness - really nasty bathrooms (especially showers), free weight equipment has dirt as base always, treadmills have the same stains for weeks. Towels- about 30% of the time they are out?! Opening time - 8am on weekends is too late to open, and been a couple times where staff was ~20 minutes late and people were waiting outside. A note to the manager- take some pride in your location, it used to be enjoyable. Off to Equinox for an extra $60 more a month , worth it for the piece of mind and supporting a business that cares.

Nice! Clean, up-to-date equipment and everything seems to work fine.

Juice bar has good selection of products. Surprisingly priced at a very reasonable prices!
Overall great experience! 5 stars for sure.

My wife and I were members here from March until August. We were told that the gym was not very crowded early morning and late afternoon. Let me make this very clear, this gym is overly crowded, at all hours except 2 hours before close. Enjoy waiting long periods of time for benches, free weights, machines, everything. Due to this reason, we canceled our membership in August. To cancel, we followed the guidelines and procedure put in place by this gym. We went into the gym at the right time window, and asked to speak to an associate in order to cancel. I completed the cancellation process by signing my signature... Or so I thought. They continued to charge on file until this January, 5 months of charges after their cancellation procedure was followed. After calling and explaining this problem to them, they apologized by returning 2 months of charges back. I explained that although we missed these charges, and that side of the fault lies with us, we had still followed the cancellation guidelines and process they demanded. Although it is my problem for missing the extra charges, it is not my fault if the associate never turned the paperwork in. They refused to return anything past 2 months. So, I explained that in return, I would write a negative, but honest review, and I would get in contact with my credit card company. They did not seem to care. So, here we are. Luckily the card used was American Express and that company values the customer, under any and all circumstances.

TLDR: There are other, better options for gym membership in this area. Hopefully, my negative experience was a poorly handled exception, and something that no one else will have to go through. Regardless, this is a giant corporation focused on profit, and their customer service reflects that.

Nice gym. Clean. Lot of equipment & free weights. Staff has seemed nice & professional so far. I was told they had four Concept 2 Rowers there when I visited... Basically I was blatantly lied to. I should've confirmed that though, so that's kinda on me. I rarely have to wait for the power racks.

This gym is by far my favorite in dallas. I have tried a few but this one has the most open layout. They have a good staff that stays late. They have covered parking which is good for when it rains and its really lit up so I always feel safe. The location is the best that I've found, right off of the highway and next to Kroger/Target to get groceries after.

Nice facility however it's extremely crowded- if you plan on going between the hours of 4-7:30 expect to be waiting for every machine, treadmill, or rack you want to use to be opccupied (more so than any other gym I've been to) and yet they're still recruiting new memberships every weekend. The sales staff makes used car salesman seem like stand-up gentleman. They will call you three times a day and get upset when you don't want to sign. The classes are great, one of the best parts about this locations. The pool is only three lanes. Over all not a bad place- but not worth the extra money.

The gym is good. However, the location is terrible! My car got broke into in their parking lot. Just be careful when you parked there. this happened last weekend around 4pm. during daylight.

Decent gym for the cost; over rated however as a 'signature club'. Larger than the average LA Fitness, however the location is what you're paying for because it's in a nice neighborhood of Dallas. Towel service is poor. Never have small towels, supply and demand is pretty easy to cover. Good experience with their sales manager. There are never specials, just restructured ways of paying the same amount over a year, unless you pay cash for a year or more.

Great location, parking is terrible unless you want to fight for a spot in the parking garage. Once you sign up they will try to rope you into a training program no matter how often you say no. Trainers will call and text you relentlessly until you actually make an appointment and during that appointment they will say and do whatever necessary to have you sign. Classes are nice, sufficient equipment for the customers HOWEVER rules are not enforced. Weights are constantly being dropped, people lay their stuff on a piece of equipment to reserve it and won't return for close to 30 minutes at a time. Towel service is nice but many times towels are not clean and folded so you have to go without or ask staff. Once you decide to cancel your membership, you realize that they will make you physically fill put paperwork and mail it in, for me it took over a month before it was finally cleared.

It is the largest gym in the area and will most likely have the most people. You never know what you will see when you go in. You get a good bang for the buck, but can get very crowded. It isn't dirty but it isn't the cleanest place either. Would put it at average compared to other gyms in the area. The take care of the machines. Never saw a piece of equipment down for more than a week which was impressive to me.
