I love coming into the YMCA for my morning workout because there are always smiling faces when I walk in and always a fresh batch of coffee brewing. The front desk staff is helpful and makes it worth waking up early to workout. :)

The front desk was very helpful when I started. It had a wide range of exercise machines in the front desk told me how to use every single one. I love working out here every single day and I come with my family as well. It has been a great experience and you can do anything there from running on the treadmill to playing basketball to swimming in the lap pool. This is a great YMCA and I recommend it to all that read this.

I was a single mother when my daughter was in the 3rd grade; I had a business that required me to work a lot of hours. I would drop off my daughter in the mornings, the YMCA would pick her up, I paid to keep her in all sport activities, and she carried that all through her high school years.
The primary reason for choosing the Y, besides all the activities and the individuals who helped her along, is that never had to worry about her not being taken care of by staff or anyone else because they went to great lengths to do background check on staff. that was the Y in El Paso, Texas.
I moved to Dallas, because my daughter is grown and lives and works here. I closed my business after 30 years and moved to Dallas to be closer to her. I joined the Y and started working out. I was always greeted like an important member and individual. i love this Y. it's the best and i would recommend it to anyone.

Great facility -garage included! I love how this branch is located right off Preston and has a green space for those who like to work out outside.

They have a program that all members qualify for that orientates them to the branch and amenities. I had no idea their pool was salt water until my meeting with an awesome trainer. Now I'm frequently in attendance.

Join before the rush in January!

I love this YMCA because of the staff, amenities and hours. Yes they're open 2-5pm on Sunday, but the membership is nationwide so you can use other Y's in the area that have extended Sunday hours.

The facility is clean and the staff is friendly, diligent and diverse.

I look forward to growing our family and taking part in the awesome traditions this Y has to offer.

My favorites:
-The lockers come with built in locks
-Nationwide Access
-You can go on hold for up to three months for no cost
-The number of yoga classes offered
-The initial consultation with a personal trainer (set me up for success)
-The TWO salt water pools

Only used as a nationwide member visiting. Clean and decent sized. The kids area was a little disappointing because we lacked greeting and explanation of the expectation but it appeared clean and plenty to do. I had no trouble getting machines. The front desk was kind.

I would rate the place better as it is an excellent facility. The issue is that they refuse to cancel membership after multiple requests and refuse to respond. I find this to be very troubling for such a respected organization engaging in this type of shady practices.

This YMCA is a centerpiece of this community. It serves many different people for fitness and family bonding.

Men's dressing room need more attention most of the time.; and there are more than enough help to do it. Not enough supervision.

New building is very nice but I'm disappointed the weight lifting area is so small and crowded (the temp location at Preston Center was actually better). YMCA members, seemingly more so than members of other gyms I've belonged to, love to sit on their weight machines while resting between sets making my workouts take much longer than they should. I guess all the extra space in the new building was given to classes, conference rooms, and that school. I love the combo lock lockers so I don't have to bring my own lock. It's definitely tons better than the previous building on this site. I just think they could have done a little better in the areas I value in a gym membership, lifting weights, weight machines, and cardio machines. It's still going to require a lot of patience at busy times.

This YMCA is the nicest location I have ever seen. The people that work there are phenomenal, and pricing for memberships, personal training (ask for Jeff!), swim lessons for kids, etc. are very, very reasonable. The facilities are stunning for a YMCA, and there is a very nice selection of brand new cardio equipment and weights both upstairs and downstairs. Lastly, it's very family friendly. It's not a scene. The people who work there and work out there are real and good people. It's not perfect, but for the money, nothing beats this YMCA.

I love the Moody YMCA. At first it had some hiccups like any new facility. But they have brought on some new staff and it has made a huge difference. We are there 2-4 times a week. So when u are at a place that much there are some issues I have had. But I still give it 5 stars. Because the membership team have always been understanding and quick to help and fix. Always clean, child care wonderful, personal trainer staff great, love the classes and the variety of classes. It feels like a second home. My children absolutely love going there. This place has really changed, improved, our family life style. We started working out the kids do swim and soccer. We have made new friends and are in better shape gotten closer to our community. So I'm rating it on that which is why it gets 5 stars. Love this place!

Ideal health and fitness facility for a senior citizen. Thank you YMCA!

Despite a few minor hiccups, which is to be expected at a new facility, this is a wonderful resource to the Park Cities community. It's great to see the youth bright and early before school, play a game or two with friends. During the day, families and individuals can work on building a healthier body with the fun group exercise classes offered. I recommend the Cardio Dace Party, on Tuesday mornings. The Moody Family Y is a pleasant facility where you can go to relax your mind, enjoy the elevated views from the second floor, and meet new friends. A happy environment that's beginning to thrive.
