I had recently moved to the area and really wanted to give Sunstone a try because I have been practicing yoga for years. I regretted early on for signing up for the Signature membership, which is a one-year contract. Before signing up, many of the staff informed me that I would be able to place my account on "hold" and cancel thereafter without cancellation fees. However, this is not the case. Also, very early on I realized many of the instructors are not friendly to newcomers and some are very harsh in the way they correct "wrong alignment". I have written many complaints on their "tell us about your experience" but who knows what is done with that information. Some instructors were genuinely kind and willing to provide the best instructions for yoga; however, they are not around long enough and did not teach enough classes for me to stick with the good ones. If I had to do this all over again, I would not have joined this studio and especially this location. The classes are not challenging and the environment of the staff are not very welcoming or kind. Personally, this was a regrettable decision I have made and have wasted $250+ for misinformed information by staff. It's strange how so many of the staff members assured me that I would not be charged a cancellation fee after placing my account on hold but when I tried to actually cancel my account after placing it on hold for 3 months, the manager and director is now telling me otherwise. Sunstone Preston Forest has definitely lost their integrity in my eyes and if they are going to change rules; they should not allow majority of the staff to give information different from management. If you are an avid yogi, I would definitely have preferred to join We Yogis or Core Power. 0 stars from me and hope this review helps others who are contemplating joining this place. As far as the facility is concerned, it is moldy in the bathroom (smells and drips water on rainy, humid days) and very small and cluttered. There is only one room for yoga and it is antiquated with cheap mirrors and a faux floor that drips sweat and collects on the bottom as mildew. Not very nice at all. And definitely not worth the listed price for a yoga class. Seek elsewhere even if you are new to yoga or experienced yogi.
