Childcare here is aweful. Wouldn't let me pick up my own kids and gave me plenty of trouble checking them in.. If you want a good gym go to sat toga freedom fitness.. Those guys rock!

Plenty of equipment to go around and clean locker rooms. The staff is both friendly and helpful. I love using the dark room for cardio and the women's room for weight training. It's nice having a space where you can just get in your zone and get it done. Plus, they have a Smoothie King inside for those post-workout meals/snacks.

I gave Freedom Fitness 5 stars from the get go, but want to add a review now that I have been going for almost a year. Up to date equipment, clean facilities, friendly staff. Love the ladies only section. Fun, but usually crowded, zumba classes Worth every penny of your $10 a month basic membership.

Beware of Freedom Fitness, they will transfer your membership without notice, they will give all your Credit Card information to LA Fitness without your permission. The Gym I thought it was great, potential to grow, clean, the people working there were professional. But, it is the owners - managers who disregards your privacy. This could happen to you.

My daughter's and I have been going here for a few months, most recently on a regular basis. The staff is always friendly, cheerful, and welcoming to us and any guests we bring.

This place is good for what it is. If you hold your expectations to a reasonable level for the $9.99 x month option; than you will realize you get a lot for that price.
I just wish they would have weight clamps, 2.5 pound weights, and a hex bar for dead lifting available. Also the dumbbells only go up to 75. Other than these minor gripes, this gym is pretty solid

They are not fixing equipment, takes a long time before it gets fixed. Also sweeping the front carpets when people are sitting there and dust and dirt goes everywhere

Great workout atmosphere. Plenty of weights, machines, and TV's. Even a separate lady's workout area.

When I first signed up I meant to sign up with the competitor and was bummed. I'm happy that I did sign up here. I've been a member for 2 years now and love it. Staff is friendly and greet you with a smile.

My work out spot...also has daycare for children 0-17. It has Consoles for the children, little play workout toys for the children. Block's T.V's ECT.

My wifes mom moved up the North Texas back in the Summer. (By law you cannot charge for a service such as a gym if one lives more than a specific distance from that location) She cancelled her account through certified mail after a few phone calls. She got confirmation that it was indeed cancelled. We just noticed they are still charging her. It's been half a year. Absolutely terrible.

I go here 4 times a week. Its a very nice space for the price. The staff is really nice, and very helpful. Always smells clean and even when it's busy you can find a spot for yourself.

Great place to get in shape especially for shy people they have the dark room. Only down side is that it gets packed in wieght lifting area around 5 to 9 p.m.

I work out here every day, I like it but I wish there were actual squat racks instead of just Smith machines, or even free motion Smith machines, it's also lacking in a seated calf raise machine. The dumbbells only go to 75lbs too, it's a good gym but they could stand to add a squat rack or 2, a seated calf raise machine and some heavier dumbbells. I can't really complain otherwise.

This gym is by far the crustiest, dirtiest, stickiest gym I have ever been to. The stair masters are so dirty you can feel it. Its rare to see a person cleaning. The only clean area that's visible is the Personal training room.
It's a LARGE gym equipped with everything you need for pretty much any kind of workout. They have a LARGE cinema room, a cycle studio, a woman's area and they have a supplement store.
The guys that greet you at the front are very friendly.
If you have AT&T you will NOT get signal, ask the front desk for their WI FI password.
I never see people wiping down the machines after they use it, on a Friday night you will run into pretty much every single thug in Corpus Christi looking for his next mate.
The only reason I occasionally come here is because sometimes Gold's gets too packed and it's closer to where I live. The Freedom Fitness on Alameda is WAY cleanier and more convenient but it is too small.
