You don't want to go to this one, the guy there isn't very helpful, he doesn't even try to be. Go see Cheryl at Tower Point Gold's Gym...she rocks!!

I've been member of the gym for almost 3 years. The gym is extremely dirty and smells so bad. There are all sweat all over the floor and machines. They have limited fans and people turn them them off as they wish and the staff don't care about other customers who want the fans on. The staff are not supportive and helpful. There was a situation in the gym today that one of the customer wanted the fan off and the air was unbearable and so heavy that I couldn't breath and I asked the staff "Daniel L." to resolve the issue and he didn't help me at all, instead told me you have to accept the situation or you can cancel your membership. He didn't even let me talk to the manager of the gym!!There are some new clean gyms in the town with more friendly and helpful staff and better air conditioning system, so I don't recommend this gym at all. BTW, I canceled my membership today when the staff refused to help me and also didn't let me talk to the manger.

This Golds could use about a hundred Glade plug-ins.....but the equipment selection is cool tho.

Trash gym. Cancelling is a nightmare when it comes to these people. No other gym has as many hoops to jump through just so you can cancel a trash membership.

The gym itself is ok but not near as good as 24 hour fitness. The customer service and way they handle cancelation is terrible! I was a member for a year and a half and when I joined I was on contract for 1 year after that it was supposed to be month to month. I was told if I moved to an area without a golds that I could cancel immediately. However when I moved and tried to cancel, I called and they said I had to email the cancelation. This is ridiculous in the computer age. I emailed Travis Granado and received no response or confirmation of cancelation, even after multiple emails. I called customer service and was given the run around and lots of bad attitudes and told to email. No one canceled my membership. I was still charged the monthly fee and had to put a stop payment on my bank account. 2 and 1/2 months later they are still calling and texting and emailing me saying I owe payment and the membership which should be canceled is on danger of being canceled , which is hilarious irony. I called to tell them to stop harassing me and cancel the membership and the woman was rude and aggressive with me all while telling me she was good at her job. They have put 2 more charges on my account for the declined payments they tried to process after I put the stop payment on my bank account. They are horrible and sign you up on the computer quickly but harass you when you try to cancel. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

I canceled my membership today due to the new GM being arrogant and prideful. He accused my boyfriend of "training" his mother when he was actually working out WITH her and trying to help her with her thoracic outlet syndrome. This man does not care about the health of his clients nor does he actually care about respecting his members. Good luck to this Gold's... just like every decent trainer left when he was hired, we're canceling our memberships.

*They have some stellar trainers but unfortunately many of them left

I've worked out here for several years and like it. They pay attention to cleanliness and maintenance. Cleaning personnel are on the job daily and equipment tech's are there whenever needed. I've read other reviews where a customer complained that employees were being rude to members; I've never seen that happen. I have found them to always be professional and friendly. The available equipment offers a thorough workout regardless your level of experience or personal goals.

Great gym. Equipment is kind of old but in good condition.

Great gym. Would be better if they were 24 hours.

This gym is a great place to workout as they offer tons of equipment. However, my car got broken into in their parking lot causing $2,000 worth of damage! The employee that took a report said that it has happened several times. If this has happened several times then why did they not install security cameras or at least warn their members not to park on the side?! When I spoke to the manager all he said was "sorry, we put the signs to hide your belongings"! My belongings were hidden. I would say, at the least, this gym should offer me a free membership if they are not going to help pay for the damage! Very disappointed with the management at this gym!

Worst mistake I made to have stepped foot in this place. They are very deceitful. DO NOT BELIEVE A THING THEY TELL YOU!!! I signed up in the "no contract/commitment" and the "no sign up fee" promotional period. What a joke.

Before I had signed up I told them that I may be moving soon and If I were to move I would need to end the membership. Well, he told me to go talk to him directly and he would take care of me and end it with full refund of unused membership. Well, when I did try to end my membership like I had anticipated, he told me that he never said that. Oh and he kept saying "In your contract it says this and in your contract it says that... Whatever happened to no contract? He then rephrased it to "an agreement". WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AGREEMENT AND CONTRACT? Who knows. Best this is not to deal with them. After a long phone call, he finally just said "I'll get my manager to call you back". I guess it was just a way to hang up. Never received a call.

Long story short, I ended up having to pay 3 months worth of membership that I wasn't able to use ($345). Oh and if I didn't pay, my bill would be send to collections. Save your money for something more useful, no different than taking a match and burning your money away before your eyes.

Save your money and support a local gym. I needed something to go to while I was at college, and figured it'd be fine since theres a lot more room and equipment here and I didn't know any local gyms at the moment. Halfway through the semester I broke my back and had to go home, but 8 months later am still going through hell trying to cancel my membership now. I've sent them all the "acceptable" proof of relocation, which they say will terminate the contract with no problem, only to have my emails and calls ignored. I'm in too much pain to travel back to CSTAT in person, or else the outcome might be a bit different. Nonetheless, that's another $500 down the drain.
Just don't. It's not a gym, it's a huge corporation that makes profit from trapping its customers.

Nice gym, but (some of) the employees are jerks.

Pros:
- Nice, well-maintained
- Enough equipment that you usually don't have to wait, especially if you build flexibility into your regimine to avoid waiting on particular equipment
- Customers are generally friendly and approachable
- Decent price

Cons:
- Overheard or saw employees mocking customers on multiple occassions during my short 3 months at this gym
- Price is a tough sell to students or anybody with access to the Rec which has nicer and more equipment (albeit, much more crowded)
- Aggressively try to sell personal trainers during sign up, including pitching false information to you such as unreasonable promises of body change, weight loss, etc.

Overall, this place is fine if you keep to yourself, know what you're doing, and generally don't have any quirks or odd mannerisms; if you do, you might get some heat from the employees behind your back. If it's close to you and you have the money, it's probably not the worst choice you could make, but it ain't the best either.

I made sure to go to the staff when I was moving to Georgia to make sure I would be able to still use my membership or if I needed to cancel. I went through the mess of freezing my account while I was Temporary Duty at Fort Knox then got to Georgia to discover I had to cancel my membership anyways because they were "wrong" oops. They said they couldn't immediately end my membership unless I submitted a copy of a new Gold's Gym contract. Well it was another "wrong" oops and I was still charged for the additional month. In total I paid an extra $150 because the employees don't know their own regulations and procedures. If I would have know this from the beginning I would have canceled 60 days prior to my last day before PCSing to Fort Gordon. Your on your own when it comes to information I strongly suggest going to a different gym.
