Love this place. The people especially are great. Larry who welcomed me in went above and beyond. He noticed my card was frayed and got me a new one and then wished me a good workout. Smiled the whole time and super nice.
The basketball gym is kept tidy and the floors are varnished and clean. Three out of the four rims however are crooked from patrons dunking on them so much. The shower area is fairly clean and I saw no lockers in disrepair. The rest of the equipment was in great shape. Might get a little crowded at peak times.
Affordable & they have a great selection of equipment with a huge space to workout in. They do get pretty busy in the evenings & parking can be difficult after 5:30, but that's surprising for a gym in such a high traffic area. As long as you are willing to be flexible with what equipment you want to use & when, evening workouts are pretty manageable. Plus, most people there are friendly enough to let you work in with them if you ask.

I was assigned a trainer, but a few months later he decided to go back to school, so I was put with KT. I was nervous about switching trainers because I liked the one I had originally, but KT was awesome! He is great about explaining everything to me and making sure I have the proper form. I felt extremely accomplished after each session with him because he definitely knows what he's doing. If you're looking for a trainer or just need some extra motivation, I would highly recommend KT!

Now I'm upset because I bought my 14 year old son to workout with me. The guy at front desk let's us workout and check back at front desk when done, and he mentioned he will give me a 5 day pass for my son. Well when we left that guy was tied up so I dealt with another gentleman that said because my son was 14 he can not use for bring a friend pass. The only way he can come workout was if I purchased him a membership... Straight BS!!!! I told him I wasn't going to buy a membership for him because he won't be going since he is involved in other sport Activities. Really want to cancel my membership and shop around for another gym...

TRX and some of the other services (ropes) are for paid personal training, and that's tough to accept. It's equipment. If you know how to use it - use it. I've also been stood up by a personal trainer after scheduling a session. Not happy. But the facility overall is clean and well kept. The machines usually operational. Free weight section of the gym can get really crowded, so learn the schedules. Afternoon and late PM - nearly impossible to use. Great cardio selection upstairs.
The gym itself seems pretty good, for only $10 a month. I signed up for a UBF personal trainer, last December. My first trainer wasn't that great, but I didn't realize how much so until I switched to Francois. He is amazing! Francois makes sure to adjust exercises, based on your need/limitations, and ensures that you are doing them properly. I always feel like I had a successful workout session. I have trained with Cruz a few times and he is also a really good trainer. The fitness director, Wes, has been very helpful and was able to finally get my UBF billing issues fixed.

If I could give them less than one star I would. I've never used this place or signed up for anything with them...but notice on my credit report they've sent me to collections!! After going back and forth several times with the BBB, fitness connection tell me I should prove I had an open identity theft report at the time of that sign up. Otherwise contact them to pay. That makes zero sense! If I said I did not open this account and I've never used your services then why should I have to pay you anything? How would a person know someone has opened something in their name unless they catch it on their credit report or the business contacts them? I think this place is a scam and reading from these other reviews I am not their only victim! I will not be paying them a single penny, and I would encourage everyone to no do business with shady people like this.
Don't forget to cancel BY MAIL 30 days before hand. And get the receipt. If they're customer service was better I'd definitely go back. But it's too terrible to without proper education. They're are taught to make it very difficult to make changes. Plus you can get sprang at this location. LISTEN TO WHAT US FORMER CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING. It will save you a lot of headache in the future.

I've been attending this location for sometime now and I've never had any issues until just recently. 1st my daughters coat was taken by another kid (by accident I'm sure ) in the kids club. No one knew who took or even act like they cared . Today March 10th I had my mother with me as a guest. The chic at the front desk had her sign in but she never came back to check on us once she had finished signing in. No other guest was present at the time.. A manager walked over and asked how he could help us. He asked if my mom wanted to join . We said no because she lives out of town..so he said he would make a one time exception to let her workout today.because guest are allowed if they live in town . Never heard of such BS ! So just an FYI if you bring a guest from out of town they can't work out here and if they do love in town they can only workout of once every 4 months. I would cancel my membership if I didn't love the group classes..
Thank you Wes and Kevin for being very helpful in any queries I had regarding Ultra body fitness personal training sessions. You guys were very encouraging in the process and always available even on cellphones through text and call outside of your office hours. That's truly 24 hour service you provide. :) would definitely recommend others to join here.
Can I give them 0 starts....I had to cancel becasue I moved and they asked me to send a letter to cancel my membership so I did!!! 2 months later they were still charging for the monthly payment. I called and they said they did not receive my letter to send it again... I sent the letter again "certified this time" I did not hear from them till 3 months later when received a letter saying I was behind on the payments... How is possible they did not get both of my letters. People please if you send your cancellation letters keep records because they will continue charging and send you to collections like they did to me!
I love the location and the look and the initial customer services was great. But the price is just to much. Yes I under this is peak season to join but also I could easily go to another gym with same services for a lower rate. When I mention I'm in a budget. I'm sorry to sound whiny but don't just act all high an mighty as if I'm making a bad decision for not shelling out money to you. You immediately expect me to join the higher monthly rate for the lower enrollment when I want the lower monthly rate but unfortunately I'll have to pay a really high enrollment fee. Sorry but I declined all together
Surprised to see such a low review. Have been a member for good 3 years I think and love it. Kids Club is awesome, kids love it. Classes are great, I have been recommending this place to all of my friends.
I regret joining Fitness Connection because of the poor and horrible customer service. BEWARE!! They have a ridiculous cancellation processes! You have to send a certified mail to their corporate office with an explanation and other information. On top of that, their corporate office are the worst; they just give you the push around when you call them and ask about the cancellation. Their sign up process is so easy--in fact, the first payment they process it at the gym when you first sign up; however, they make people go through this tedious, ridiculous process when they need to cancel their membership. This is all so they can keep charging people more money after they request to cancel their membership. Truly, worst experience ever. I just wish I've went to other gym instead. It's not worth is; just go somewhere else other than this scam company.
This has been a good situation handled very poorly. They do not handle customers or money well and will charge you until you are blue in the face. There are so many hidden fees that our sales guide completely ignored telling us. I have been a member for two months on a $20/month plan, and I have paid $110 so far. They had an error with my bank and just charged more and more money. Then it is annoying to cancel your membership with at least 30 days notice and by old school letter. Be sure to get certified mail or they WILL claim they lost it (post office worker said she sees membership cancel letters very frequently). The facilities themselves are fine, no more crowded than a normal gym. Does not have a pool. If you go during prime gym hours (4:30-7:30) you absolutely will not find a parking space within a minute's walk. Cannot un-recommend enough. Any place would be an improvement.
Extremely disappointing customer service. I signed up for an account for both myself and my mom for a $20/month plan but we notice that more money has been deducted from our bank account. There are so many hidden fees which the sales rep never discussed with us while signing the contract. Nevertheless, when we went in to dispute the charges ($40 each - $80 total) they acted like the fault was not on their part or their sales rep but on ours for not paying attention to the contract; mind you the hidden fee text is written in small font.
We spoke to Ryan (the manager apparently) and he was constantly blaming us for signing the contract. He was very unprofessional and basically gave us no option to continue with gym. On top of that, to cancel your membership you have to mail in a letter and PAY for postage but you'll be still charged for another month's fee because that's how "their system and policy works".
This hidden scheme has disappointed a lot of customers and they're aware of that but just continue doing it to bring in unearned money into the club. Their customer service is the worst and they don't really care how they get the money in as long as its coming. I'm definitely not going to recommend this facility to anyone because no customer deserves this treatment especially after paying for membership. Don't fall for their traps!! Spend your money at 24 hour or at Lifetime; atleast you won't be ripped off.
My experience was amazing i got help by a great person.His name is Benjamin his Customer service was excellent he was really on point he showed me around.Also gave me some advice on some machines I'm also seen him with a positive attitude everyday.He greets me on my way in to the gym and out to be honest he does not do average he always goes the extra mile . Thank you Fitness Connection for a great service
Member since 2015- Overall good experience- Clean and safe facility.. no trainer hassles you while working out.. plenty of equipment.. rush hour( 5pm- 8pm) I tend to avoid.. large parking lot available.. 2hour free usage at daycare.. read contract throughly and follow through when changes needed.. no problems there- add/remove family in the summer months..
