I've been going to Grit for about a month and I love it! Its hard work and they make sure that everyone is being challenged at their own level. Very friendly staff and patrons. :)

Stephanie is an amazing trainer & coach. Incredible at helping you work through any sports injury while continuing to work out!

Expert, motivating coaching in great classes. Expect to be surprised at what you can achieve with the varied programming- pushing sleds, carrying kettle bells, lifting atlas stones and running with sandbags. We train heavy weight in classic lifts - bench, squat, press, cleans. Or we'll drag tires around the block. There is no downtime. I immediately lost weight and got stronger both overall and functionally; expect to be treated like an athlete from day one and be around other inspiring creative motivated athletes. Set a PR in squat after six weeks. Amazed at the results of consistent diligent effort. Let the coaches at Grit come up with your programming, motivate you and challenge your preconceived limits, and you will reap the rewards of your efforts.

I tried a lot of gyms in Austin before I started attending the women's group at Grit about a month ago. The Women's group is the place I've felt most comfortable, while also being extremely challenged. The trainers are patient with newbies, but will also push and encourage you. The members are also friendly and encouraging. No egos or competition here (except with yourself). This is a great place to get in shape and learn more about fitness, whether your just staring out or already a exercise fanatic. The programming is also well thought out, and unique to other gyms in the area.

This review is for the Grit Summer Camp. My 10-year-old son really enjoyed the camp. He was kept engaged by the awesome teachers, had a ton of fun, and got a great workout. He will definitely be coming back next year! Thanks Team Grit!

I enrolled in the Women's Program here about two months ago and I absolutely love it! We do hard work here; physically and often mentally as well. This helps translate to "real life" in so many ways. I love the philosophy of putting in the hard and gritty work in the gym (without complaint) so you build up those skill and later have them to tap into when things get difficult outside of the gym. You know, as life does. The gym is not cliquish at all like so many other gyms, and there is a real sense of community here. Stephanie, the owner, takes the time to personally meet and get to know everyone who steps foot in her gym, even if you may not take her classes directly. It is a very welcoming space. Cold brew and beer on tap don't hurt either! :)

GRIT Austin has transformed my life. The coaching is top notch, so informed and concerned for all bodies. They focus on how to sustain good training, rather than blowing it out. The family of people who attend are the most supportive friends to work out with. This is a tough workout, but anyone can do it, and so rewarding. I wouldn't ever go to another gym in Austin.

I've been attending the Women's Program at GRIT for about 6 months. My husband start classes at GRIT first, and when I heard what they were doing, I felt like I could never participate in such intense training. He loved it so much and was getting such great results that I decided to try out the Women's Program. This was the best thing that came out of 2016 for me! Coaches Annie and Brittany are supportive, yet tough. They will meet you where you are when you walk through the door and then take you to new places in your fitness journey. I never dreamed that I would love weight lifting as much as I do, but I get excited thinking about back squats now!! The program is set up in 3-4 week cycles that focus on different aspects of strength and conditioning training. The progress I make in each cycle really amazes me! The price is affordable for the amount of expertise and one-on-one attention you receive. If you're looking for a superior gym experience, GRIT is right for you!
