Recently signed up for a $1 special gold's gym was offering. To my surprise, I signed a three month contract at a membership rate of $100 month. The cost was not told to me, I was not given the option to choose the level of my membership and the employee never told me of a three month contract. I called up to dispute the membership charge when Is aw $100 his my bank account. I tried to explain that I just wanted the regular membership, not the expensive one. The lady at the front I spoke to yesterday was so defensive and combative I felt like a lot of other have been calling about the same issue. This is deceptive marketing. When I tried to call and talk to the person who signed me up, apparently he wasn't there. The manager told me the original sales person who signed me up actually signed me up under the his name (the manager matt). I asked him if I could lower my membership or cancel it and get a refund, not only would he not work with me, he said it was my fault I didn't read the contract. This has been the worst customer experience I've ever ha with a manger. I will make sure gold's gym corporate knows how they are taking care of their customers. I will never go to a gold's gym again, I will dispute this and take it corporate. Businesses can't treat their customers this or they will ruin their reputation.
