I've been working out with Amanda (Bode) Nichols since the end of January. Y'all, I love this woman. I've always enjoyed exercising, but I had a huge fear of weight training, and Amanda immediately made that fear go away. With her, I feel comfortable expressing how I'm feeling and asking what "dumb" questions I may have. In a month, I lost an inch around my waist, and I'm quite literally surprised by my own strength. Everyone at Austin Simply Fit (South Lamar Location) is kind and welcoming, but speaking from my own journey, please consider chatting with Amanda for an all around positive experience.

I've been training with Sean Householder at ASF for about 3 months and I have to say it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I feel stronger and look forward to my sessions every week. I love that Sean challenges me to push myself and I'm beginning to see the results! It also helps that everyone is so friendly and makes you feel comfortable. I'm so glad I found this awesome gym!

A friendly and welcoming gym environment. I've been training with Brendan for a few years and I can't recommend him enough. He's challenging, listens to your goals, always has a helpful adjustment if I have any problem areas, he's sincerely interested in helping you improve. I'm not some hardcore gym rat, but I've never felt anything other than welcomed! If you're someone who wants to hit the next level or just looking to jumpstart your fitness goals, ASF is a great place.

I have been working with Beckie Lough since March 2018 to kickstart my exercise routine. I have tried everything - from boutique studios to running groups to exercise apps - and nothing seemed to stick or show results. My major goal coming into ASF was to get stronger. Beckie listened to all of my concerns and thoughts and over five months has pushed me passed the limits I originally had for myself. I have never been able to lift anything more than 20 lbs and now I find myself deadlifting 150 lbs after only five months. I wholeheartedly believe this was the best financial investment I have made for myself. Beckie has transformed my expectations and outlook on strength training and my overall health that I know will stick with me in the future. Thanks to this community, I have never felt more confident in my fitness - thanks ASF and Beckie!

I was completely intimidated to step through the doors at Austin Simply Fit. As a plus size gal who would much rather much rather play a board game than a sport, I felt like working toward a stronger body would be as mentally tough as it would be physically.

Thankfully, Sean Householder eased my mind in the initial consultation, and I quickly found that ASF cultivates a friendly atmosphere where everyone is on their own personal journey.

Sean explained each exercise thoroughly to me and made everything seem significantly less intimidating. His plan for each of our sessions and his kindness never failed to impress me, and I began to feel stronger much faster than I expected!

I really can't say enough good things about ASF. If you're considering going for a consultation - do it ASAP!

I've been training with Sean Householder at Austin Simply Fit for several months. I researched a number of gyms prior to choosing ASF.

What sets Sean (and ASF) apart is the attention to detail. All workouts are tracked, so you and your trainer have the data to map out your progression and maintain challenging workouts. Sean does an excellent job of understanding my fitness goals and customizing the workouts around those. He is also a stickler for technique, which ensures the proper areas are being worked and minimizes any risk from poor form.

I plan to stay with ASF for the long-term, and I'd encourage anyone that is serious about their fitness goals to try them out.

After a life changing car accident, I started training with Beckie just about a year ago. My journey has not been easy but it's been worth it. Beckie has helped me push myself to points that I didn't know I could reach, while understanding my body's limits. I've learned so much about how the body functions and what to fuel it with. I can see that she and every trainer genuinely has a passion for this. That passion spreads like a wildfire. Weight lifting and health has become my life. I can honestly and dramatically say that the day I stepped foot into Austin Simply Fit is the day my life changed for the better.

The gym as a whole is such a welcoming place. You can walk up to any trainer and ask for help. Without any hesitation someone will give you some pointers. It's always clean and has parking in the back. As well as a bike rack if you'd like to ride on in. If you want to start your new lifestyle, or jump right back into it, I definitely and whole heartedly recommend Austin Simply Fit.

I have been training at ASF South since June 2016 and specifically with Theo for a year now. Theo is an awesome trainer who is great at listening to client needs; modifying workouts to minimize injury; motivation; and obviously knowledgeable about nutrition & anatomy. He is very personable and flexible with his schedule. I enjoy my workouts with Theo!

I am so happy with my sessions at Austin Simply Fit. Prior to working out here, I never did much in the way of strength training, but I've really made significant improvements. I've been working with Beckie Lough for two years now and she's helped me past years of neglected posture and poor form. I used to consider strength training something that I needed to do to stave off injuries from running, but have now come to appreciate it on its own merits. Beckie has encouraged and challenged me and helped me to make improvements I never could have made on my own. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing I can't recommend it enough! I've been training with Sean for over 5 weeks now and I can already see an improvement in my form and actual muscles! Every person whether its a trainer or a gym-goer has been incredibly nice and supportive of each other. It's a great environment and I look forward to the days that I go every time!

My wife and I have been going to Austin Simply Fit for a little over a month and we love it! The workouts fit perfectly into our busy schedules. We're in and out in 30 minutes but the workouts are still intense!

The people are great, it's not like any gym I've ever been to before. Everyone is encouraging and friendly, especially to the beginners like us. It feels more like a community than a gym.

We train with Sean and he's done an incredible job of making us comfortable with the movements and challenging us even more every session. He knows what our goals are and he makes us feel like we're making progress every time we come in for a workout.

If you're looking for a trainer who is invested in your success and genuinely wants to see you better yourself, this is the place to find one!

I started going to Austin Simply Fit in September of this year. I did my research and interviewed several gyms. Not only did I like this facility, but I also liked the business model and overall atmosphere. I was assigned a trainer based on my goals and who, personality wise, I might fit with best. It was made clear that if I wasn't happy after a few sessions I could move to a different trainer, no questions asked. I never made that request however. Amanda Bode is hands down the best trainer I have ever worked with, and there have been many. She not only listened to what my goals were, but worked with me to put together a well thought out, comprehensive plan based around the physical restrictions I came with. I have progressed faster toward my goals than I initially set out to, and that, in large part, is because of Amanda.

I've been getting fit with Chelsea for 9 months now. She is a great trainer & knows how to keep it moving & it's never boring. We're always working smarter & harder, which are both great for me. I've got muscles I didn't know I had, plus I feel GREAT!

The vibe at the S. Austin location is laid back, no-nonsense, fun & not intimidating at all. All the trainers there: Chelsea, Dwayne, John, David, Eric & Becky are quick with a smile, a big hello, encouragement.....and sometimes even some karaoke!

Their great attitudes to fitness make it fun to train there, they provide a metaphorical 'kick in the pants' when you need one. Come in willing to do the work & they will get you where you wanna be.

Highly recommended. I appreciate quality personal training here - I save a ton of time not having to figure out my workout plan, have someone always watch my form and make sure I get the maximum out of my training sessions. Excellent fit for someone who has a busy life.

Awesome experience!
I was referred by a friend to John Nelson and now have been going for over 12 weeks. He is an exceptional trainer and has taught me so much about proper form and how to push myself to the next level. He is also super flexible with his schedule which has helped me alot.

I've been working with John Nelson since March. I appreciate that this gym will help you achieve whatever goal you might have. I am a former college athlete that wanted to get back in shape, but there are people in Simply Fit that are there for competition, for post-physical therapy work, and for strictly practical strength. They really cover the whole spectrum and are incredibly nice and supportive as they do it. I highly recommend Simply Fit in general (and John in particular) to help you achieve whatever strength and conditioning goals you may have.

I love Austin Simply Fit!! I have been personal training with John Nelson for 3 months now. I have been able to see results in strength, conditioning, endurance, and body composition. John N is awesome! He really cares about what your personal health and fitness goals are and pushes you to achieve them. His passion for helping people reach their goals shines through in his own lifestyle and in his personal training sessions. His workouts are dynamic, challenging, and actually fun. He will have you crawling out of ASF, in a good way. He makes you want to work out and come back to see him. Results don't lie. I can't say enough good things about John N. or Austin simply fit.
