Everyone at Yoga Yoga is welcoming and helpful. They offer a great variety of classes at this location, and there is something for everyone at every level! The teachers all listen to what you need and are happy to offer modifications or corrections as needed/wanted. I love practicing at Yoga Yoga!

Inviting, friendly, supportive and some of the best yoga instruction I've received. For over a year I've been a regular of several teachers here, every one very well connected and guide with love and skill.

Meh, there's lots of good yoga in Austin. Luckily I have Class Pass so I can be a little picky.

Went to noon Vinyasa today. Started strong and awesome. But then the instructor turned the music up so loud I had to stop breathing just so I could hear her. I told her I couldn't hear her so she stood by me for a couple minutes, and then walked away and mumbled for the rest of the session so I spent most of the rest of class just kind of rotating between Child's Pose and sipping water and staring out the window cause I gave up on holding my breath to hear over the super duper non relaxing music. Customer service at the front was kinda meh, too.

But yoga studios are like Starbucks here so I'm gonna head to a 2:00 somewhere else cause I didn't really get much out of this one :-/

The most beautiful space. It truly is a community. And the class is definitely a power class, I felt amazing walking out. I was challenged and I am a long time practitioner, but the class was truly as accessible to beginners too. Come as you are and pay what you can. What yoga really should be!!!

If you are looking for standard Kundalini classes that contain the basic elements of warm-ups, a kriya, and a meditation - I didn't find that here. I attended four Kundalini classes here. Three of the classes I attended didn't have a meditation at all! The physical body was presented as a collection of parts to be cleaned, which for me lacked the spiritual aspect of Kundalini Yoga. Surprisingly, the fourth class I attended here finally had a meditation, but the kriya/exercises that came before were all very sedentary. There were zero warm-ups and only 3 positions that were all sitting with very little movement. We sat for the entire 75 minutes. Two of the three teachers I experienced here seemed board with what they were doing. I also attended a yin class here in which the teacher couldn't stop chattering about her personal life.

Great Kundalini classes!
Some of their teachers have been directly taught by Yogi Bhajan!
The warm ups are fun and I love the meditations, how they are so carefully chosen for each class, and the teachers play the gong at the relaxation time!

If you are looking for standard Kundalini classes that contain the basic elements of warm-ups, a kriya, and a meditation - I didn't find that here. I attended four Kundalini classes here, all of them taught by either the lead teacher-trainer or one of his students. Three of the classes I attended didn't have a meditation at all! The physical body was presented as a collection of parts to be cleaned. (If you are new to Kundalini, meditation is what makes it special - exercises are done in preparation for meditation.) Surprisingly, the fourth class I attended here finally had a meditation. But the kriya/exercises that came before it was really poorly taught. There were zero warm-ups and it contained only 3 positions that were all sitting with very little movement. We sat for the entire 75 minutes and I wished I hadn't come at all. Two of the three teachers I experienced here were obviously board with what they were doing. I didn't find much spirit or intention here. Avoid if you're looking for a quality Kundalini experience. Or, ask around for a recommendation for a specific teacher depending on what you're looking for. I also attended a yin class here in which the teacher couldn't stop chattering about her personal life.

A good place to do yoga. However, some employees need to learn proper phone ettiqute skills when speaking to customers.

All the instructors I've met so far were amazing except for Annick's Hatha flow class. I'm not a beginner but not advanced either. I stepped into this class without warning. She used body shaming to get the class to laugh when I had trouble with some intensive workout routines. Then made jokes about how the door was already locked that the following thought was so very funny. Then Challenged me to return, that was the real test! Then when asked to pair up I had to walk through another guy's sweat who didn't bother to wipe up, I found someone to do crunches with (all of these things more of an intensive gym workout than any hatha flow class I'd been to before ) I asked my partner for help with the pose/crunches and she called Annick over. I wasn't saying I can't do it, but wanted help doing it correctly and she repeatedly outloud asked if I was pregnant or had had surgery. (Both very sensitive issues) but outloud to my new partner when i said no, she loudly said that there was "No excuse" and laughed together. So horrified I went home confused and upset, but I told the front desk later on how uncomfortable I was and that maybe it's not for newcomers who are beginning or early intermediate. They said they were sorry and gave me a class card, which doesn't do much for me since I pay for an unlimited membership. So if you don't want to be chastised, shamed, treated with unwanted attention and love a sweaty good gym "yoga" workout in a beautiful studio by all means take her class, but I would never want to treat any of my students that way and walked away with the lesson- how not to treat people in my class. There are ways to modify for students having trouble and if there were prior surgeries or issues, there are ways to privately communicate with students that doesn't involve shouting out or repeatedly asking about pregnancy when your student is there for their positive health.

So I am a complete noob at yoga. I was feeling courageous and decided to give it a shot. Yoga Yoga was easy to get to and located in South Austin so I didn't have to drive up north. Plus, not only was the person whom I spoke to on the phone to get general information nice (as was the instructor), but the other people taking the class were totally friendly and took me under their wing as a newbie. They talked to me before the class and showed me where to grab the props and even assured me that my attire was okay! All age groups seemed to be represented in the class! Good stuff. Thanks y'all.
