I began with an introductory deal last July and enjoyed the workouts so much that I became a regular member, until now. With the COVID-19 situation the gym had to temporarily close, as with all gyms. As much as they preach about being a family, I was disappointed to see that they continued to bill members (albeit with a 25% reduction) while other gyms suspended billing during this time. They justified the continued billing because they offer "virtual" classes. Really? Where do you get a bag? Oh right, they will sell you one. Feeling the burn in your wallet yet?
Other than the franchise owners not being empathetic to members during this time and the hypocrisy of being a family of ripping you off for services they do not provide, you will get a good workout here. The regulars are pretty friendly and people are usually supportive of each other. If you are new to kickboxing, it's pretty simple; you get out what you put in. The warm ups includes about 20 minutes of HIT and then the rest of the time is kicking and punching the bag. I usually average a burn of around 875 calories in an hour's time with the previous management. But with the recent management change, they are focused on inefficient punching combinations which has affected my average calorie burn to the upper 700s.
This is my experience which I felt compelled to share. Personally, I think I would get the same intensity at home working out to my old Insanity DVDs and save myself the $135 a month. I wish you all well during this stressful time and be safe.
