My family and I have been training with RSKA for 5 years. As a parent and student, I couldn't be happier with the instruction and attention we have received. All the instructors are extremely skilled and knowledgeable in their craft, and safety is always their primary concern. The classes are fun and challenging, and a wide range of martial arts are taught from the many master instructors at RSKA. Our time here has truly been part of a life changing experience.
I had both my daughters in karate here. We love the instructors. When one daughter decided to quit to go back to horseback riding. They made me send them a certified letter. After I found out I will be charged for 90 DAYS! 90 Days she isn't even going anymore so I'm essentially paying them for nothing! I will be looking for another place to take the daughter that is still attending. Keep this in mind if you decide to go here!

Top notch knowledgeable staff and great curriculum. I moved away but still make it a point to stop in and get a workout in and take a class or two while in town. I always leave feeling accomplished. I love this school and all of the things my instructors have taught me. Through out the years I've learned how to defend my self along with character and self development.
I starting going to Rising sun karate when I was nine years old, and never left. This place was such an inspiration growing up. It developed the determined attitude I have now. The values I have taken from my training will be with me the rest of my life. I am forever grateful for my experiences i have had there. They have helped make me who I am today.

Too crowded and unorganized. Had a hard time canceling membership. Tried for a month to get the person or address where to send cancellation letter. After I cancelled I was billed again, I was told billing is performed in arrears, which is nothing like any other fitness establishment I have ever attended. Typically you are billed the month prior to service, so I am unsure if I was double billed. Also, Rising Sun changed the class we initially signed up for, but we still had to pay for 3 months for a class that was not the one sold to us. However, my son did love his instructor. They just need to get on the same page as their instructions I do believe. If you are looking for a workout then maybe consider this place. If you are looking for training, move on.

Not happy at all with how this company handles cancelling your contract. I was told I could either send a certified letter to them and my contract would be cancelled in 90 days or I could contact Educational Funding Company which is the company that processes their payments. I contacted Ahmed with EFC and was told to send him proof of address to show that we were moving and he would handle my cancellation. This was on 4/20. On 4/22 a payment was sent to my bank for April's tuition. I called him back today 4/26 and was told that he didn't speak to me at all but I have his email and proof that I sent him and email on 4/20 to cancel the contract. Needless to say I put a claim into my bank who are investigating the charges as we speak. Why lock people into a contract and then hold them hostage when they have a justified reason to cancel. It even states if you send proof that you are 25 miles away from another school then your contract can be cancelled in 60 days. No worries we would have only had one more month to pay and the 60 days would have been upheld on my end. My son could have even went to class this last month to say bye to his friends. No worries I will go this route and also inform all I know how things are handled at RISING SUN!
The instructors are very professional when the kids are signed up they tell you what to expect from the lessons. My daughter has started acting more disciplined and listening more in school, I have a full time career and take my daughter every other day.
Been here 12 years, live it and love it. I've met slot if great parents and taught slot of great kids and adults alike. We teach all styles here so come on in and get started, it's never too late!
