I've been to 6 studios over the last 10 or so years, and this is near the top as my favorite, and it's for a reason that true beginners may not understand: discipline and focus.
Bikram Yoga is challenging, like maybe one of the hardest things I've done in my life challenging, but it is extremely rewarding. It has healed me of tennis elbow, a stress fracture, and other ailments. It has helped me maintain a healthy lifestyle, and it's a lot of fun, but did I say it's challenging?
The thing that I think makes this studio great is they are very strict. They will not let you enter class after a certain point; they try to keep you from leaving class once you're in; and they encourage you to get in and stay in the postures as much as possible. The benefits of this are marvelous! I've seen more focus and discipline in this studio than most of the other studios I've been too.
I encourage anyone and everyone to try this out, but you have to be willing to sweat, submit to their teaching, and work really hard.
