Excellent location, well equipped and maintained. All necessary equipment for beginners and advance workout enthusiasts. Very clean facility, loved the ladies locker room and the relax zone. Interacted with a couple of the staff members, helpful and polite. Definitely will come back next time in Abilene.

This is a good sized gym with lots of equipment choices. All of the people I have met that work here have been nice and helpful. The locker rooms are nice and well kept. They have some additional services available for "free" for their Black Card members such as tanning, massages, and some other things. Over this is a nice gym with helpful people and plenty of equipment to meet most people's workout needs.

Good if you're just averagely into fitness or a beginner. Not for the hardcore or fitness enthusiasts. The purple is a turn off and so is the alarm on the wall. Great for the elderly and very entry level.

People that go here are friendly but still keep to themselves. Nice chill atmosphere, and staff are willing to answer any questions.

This place is just amazing! As soon as I walk in its nothing but smiles. Nobody has ever made me feel uncomfortable or judged. The machines are just awesome! 30min workout has me sweating! I can't get enough! And to top it off after a good workout I get to relax on a hydro bed or massage chair. Will be coming here for years.

Military people be warned !!!!!!! C an you give zero? Great place to work out, but they will bill u annually without notice and if you leave town they will not let you cancel unless you come back to town physically they would not allow me to cancel without being there!!!! Sleezy business practices that prey on military personal to scam them

recently moved to Abilene from Colorado and I saw the ads around town about planet fitness so the day I went in, I waited 10 min. to talk to someone and when they finally approached me they were rude with their greeting and just asked what I needed. I signed up for the black card membership and waited for someone to verify that I finished what i needed. I sat there while the front desk team was standing around talking to each other about movies and what they had planed for the weekend, looking over at me and then looking away. I had to get one of the team members to come over and they looked like I was disturbing/wasting their time. after it was all said and done I wasn't given my free gift nor a tour of what they offered so I can ask questions instead of walking around like a lost lil kid. I have not returned since my first day and I wont go back unless someone from the management team ( not from Abilene ) contact me and fix this issue

The equipment is horrible, yet I'm a member. Why? Simple. Cost. PF is by far the most cost effective gym, but ... the equipment is really bad.

So many ruuuuules. They make you feel like if you're serious about working out then it's a bad thing and I'm not even one of the jug carrying type they expressly dislike. Also we had to go to war over fees that were not expressed in any fine print (I even showed them the error) and finally after being able to cancel the workout I got from arguing was better than any I'd had in their gym. I found myself holding my breath while lifting in fear of startling people. Think Verizon with weights.

Great gym, plenty of modern equipment from free weights, nautalus style to treadmills, exercise bikes and stair steppers and more. They offer personalized workouts with instructor assistance as well as training rooms with standard workouts such as zumba and more. Try the tanning room and hydro jet massage chairs while your there, planet fitness also has mens and womens changing rooms including showers and lockers... .. and a huge bucket of grape taffy at the counter.

Nice staff, always clean. Planet Fitness Abilene is a great place too work out. Open 24-7 which makes it a no brainer for night shift employees. The best value for your dollar because of the tanning, massage chairs and hydro-massage tables. Highly recommended.

They make you cancel in person and then keep changing you after you already cancelled your membership. Anthony had the nerve to tell me he was doing me a favor by cancelling my membership now, even though I already did it last month. 'Refunds are at the discretion of local management.'

Horrible, I would give it a zero if I could. Management are a bunch of con artist. They advertise one thi g but there are hidden clauses in your contract. If you have a problem and go to management they are smug and rude. Nobody really knows whst they are doing. Extremely unsatisfied.

I have been trying to move my membership from this location to a Houston location. Where U now live. I have tried doing the online transfer. But something isn't going through. They tell me I have to register online and then move it. I don't have my contract handy to verify my information. Your online sight tells me I can call my location and do it that way. They tell me I have to do it online. For a gym that is into fitness, you have lazy employees when it comes to customer service. This shold be an easy fix. If I can't get it resolved, I will cancel my membership and join another gym.

Wayne is the best! He always gets you pumped up for your workout and makes sure that he greets you and tells you to have a wonderful rest of the day. He makes the place friendly and inviting. Love this gym because if the employees!

I came here from the north east for a 9 month long work contract back in October 2016. There are many positive things to this gym: Friendly Staff, clean gym, great prices, copious parking, safe area, awesome health food next door to food shop after work out (great prices and large selection) , gas station nearby , and usps mail drop off nearby.
For people who travel for work this place is not only a great gym but I can run multiple errands in the same area.

Planet Fitness offers the absolute most bang for your buck. I've used their facilities in 5 different Texas cities and have been impressed by the culture and consistency in how each were operated.
