Onsight is the best climbing gym I have ever been to! The staff is amazing and so helpful when you need it! The routes are always so fun climb and the range of difficulty is insane! Highly recommend this gym!!

Nice mid sized gym with very friendly staff. Facilities were very clean as well which was really nice. Every route I climbed was set really well. Will definitely swing by if I'm ever driving through again.

Onsight Rock Gym is an ideal location for new and experienced climbers. The staff are incredibly helpful, the facility is clean and bright. There is a room specifically for new climbers that has both auto belay and free climb options. There is a bouldering area with a comfortable landing pad, and the main climbing area supports auto belay, human belay, and clip in options. It's a great place to spend a day.

John was super helpful and very friendly, and the top roping was stellar. I truly enjoyed my time in that portion of the gym, and I think the routesetters did a fantastic job.

However the bouldering section of the gym should be addressed. The routes themselves might very well be excellent, but there's not a great way for a climber to discern that because every hold is completely caked with chalk and grime. This is incredibly correctable via a tarp and a good pressure washer when the routes are due for resetting, so I implore those in a position to make that change to do so.

Overall, it's a solid climbing gym, and Knoxville is quite lucky to have such a facility. I think a couple of key changes to ensure the cleanliness of the holds would take this gym from good to phenomenal.

My family and I love this place! We come here pretty frequently and enjoy it. The walls are fun because they have all levels and self belays too! The boulder selection of the gym is also nice because it is so large. They also have a whole young kids section with all self belays. The staff and atmosphere is really nice . Although the price is a bit high it is so worth it. I can't wait to come back for the millionth time and would recommend this place to other climbers!

Been there three times so far. Staff is really friendly, intro to climbing class is great, routes are challenging, bouldering area is really fun.

Great customer service, plenty of room and options, and very helpful staff for climbing tips etc. Highly recommended! I would definitely encourage joining their teams, too. The only "con", I guess, would be the pricing for a day pass if you aren't planning on being there long.

This place is super cool I loved it there was plenty of things to do for just starting out as well as for the experts. They are very friendly and welcoming. There was no pressure to do any of the walls I was uncomfortable doing there are roped areas as well as free climb walls.

Fun routes with a good cluster in the 5.9/5.10 range (closer to 5.9). The setters are definitely tall people who enjoy high stepping but the routes themselves are fun with some nice moves.

This is an AMAZING gym!! Drove all the way down to Tennessee with a group of friends from Vermont for a bouldering trip, but ended up getting rained out. So we stopped by on our last day to get some climbing in and had an amazing time. Solid setting, beautiful gym (universal padding in the bouldering area woohoo!), affordable day pass (w/ the early bird special!) and great video safety intro (never in all of the gyms I've been to has someone explained how to fall safely, which is so crucial in preventing common injuries from bouldering). To top it all off, I ended up accidentally leaving a nice layer and watch behind and the staff was kind enough to mail it back to me. Love this place, will be stopping by the next time I'm in the area for sure!

I walked into Onsight as a new Knoxville resident and without a climbing partner, but very quickly was surrounded by a great community. After only a few visits all of the staff greeted me by name. Clean place, frequently updated climbing routes, and great events and competitions. Thanks for all you guys do!

Great experience. The staff is very professional. Membership seems pricey compared to other gyms but you definitely get what you pay for and the price is worth it. I'm so happy to have this gym in Knoxville.

Very, very nice gym. I visited Knoxville for the weekend and found this gym to get some climbing in. Great staff and the climbing was amazing. I mostly boulder but was super inspired by the rope climbing. The bouldering section is smallish, but has lots of really fun problems and is laid out efficiently so about 10 or more people could be on the wall at one time. The rock walls are impressive and have routes that could push almost anyone. I think they said they had 5.13 max.

Can't say enough great things about the overall experience. Everything felt safe and secure, everything was clean, and I was able to climb for several hours without touching the majority of routes, and only climbing routes once. If I lived in Knoxville I'd already be signed up for a membership.

This is definitely the best place to top rope, lead climb, and boulder in Knoxville. It's not too expensive and the the staff is always kind and willing to help. Besides the climbing itself, this place offers an array of climbing gear (shoes, harnesses, ropes, etc...), along with a smaller selection of drinks and snacks. I love this gym.

This summer I would have given Onsight a 5, there was a good gradation of routes and I was able to work different skills. Today I would given Onsight a 1. There are a lot of routes but few ropes and 90% are clustered in one corner, my partner fell off 5 feet up and swung into a belayer on the other wall. Also while in this corner my partner was climbing a 5.11 and kids were playing under her on the auto belay. It gets nerve wracking. The routes were 5.6s and 5.7s you could walk up or a hard 5.10 that I couldn't complete without a little color blindness. And what's up with the sexual reference on the route Jenny's body? Ugghh... Onsight has a lot of potential, high walls, a ton of routes, and a lot of space, I just wish they could meet that potential.

I didn't climb but I watched my niece and daughter and great-nephew climb. Staff was very nice and place was very clean.
