Our kids love the kids classes but and this is a huge but people brag about bringing siblings of sick kids in. This was a constant occurrence, people would rather work out than stay home with sick kids. We picked up more illness than not from here. Definitely not worth it.
I love to have so many options to enjoy exercising, from squash to basketball, from swimming to sauna and Jacuzzi, excellent machines and classes. People is so welcomed. Thank you. Highly recommended!
Pros - Spacious and clean, well kept and friendly staff. Plenty of equipment to use.
Cons - When equipment goes down, it takes a while for them to have it back in working order.
This club has a lot to offer in helping you meet your goals to a healthy fit life.
Great place to go & very kid friendly. They have 2 swimming pools One outside & 1 indoors only been there once.
I take away one star simply because WiFi or cellphone reception in here is absolutely horrible unless you get here when there is no one here. I cannot stand not being able to listen to my music when I work out. Anyway other than that I enjoy myself here.

I have been going to this gym for 4 years. It has only gotten better with time. Expansion that doubled the size, renovation of the older rooms, new cardio equipment periodically, and enough equipment that I rarely have to wait to handle a specific exercise. I am a competitive bodybuilder and I got in the best shape of my life with all this gym has to offer. I love this place!

I like the diversity of work out choices. Hours are often agreeable with most work schedules too
Been a member for 17 years after seeing some of the reviews wanted to give an honest assessment of both good and bad. I use the pool, cardio and am an avid weight lifter. I'm not a gym rat, but am someone who takes fitness seriously.
Pros:
1. Abundant cardio equipment
2. A lot of machine and free weights
3. Indoor track
4. Lap pool (3 lanes always roped off) and open year around
5 family atmosphere and good day care
6. Variety of machines and weights
7. "Day care" excellent staff!
Cons:
1. Does take a long to me to fix equipment
2. Male main bathroom constantly smells of urine and bad ventilation by far the worst negative for me
3. Need to rename itself Clarksville Social club as it seems like everyone just wants to chat lol ( can be a pro for some of you)
4. I have had issues w rude staff- mostly those who've been w the club for a long time - eg: Lost my key card and got a terse talking to for losing it - even after I paid the $5 fee for replacing it - blew that off but the guy was being a jerk
5. In door Pool -it's always cloudy in the summer - I do love the pool but it can get yucky on high use days/weekday
6. Rules enforcement are inconsistent
7. Some of the trainers don't look all that fit themselves, but it's the info not how they look ( I go by the policy tho "do they practice what they preach?") BUT they are all very nice and helpful!!
All that said, don't focus on the negatives, it's actually not that bad 90% of the time. I do love it here. For the most part, it's an excellent facility - I don't plan on leaving and recommend it highly. There are people of all fitness levels and very nice members who are glad to help or share just ask.
When I went to visit the club, I was a bit apprehensive since they wanted to do a tour before telling me the membership prices. But with everything that's offered, I think it ended up being reasonable. I greatly appreciate the childcare staff - when we started going my son was not used to me leaving him and it was rough for both of us. Everyone was kind and patient, offering good advice and being flexible with us. Now my son can enjoy their kids classes while I work out. The rest of the facilities are very nice, I mostly enjoy the classes and the pools/ hot tub. The only thing I would change is the dressing room - I wish they were just a bit bigger.

The staff is rude and the age requirement is stupid and the outdoor pool is horrible barely even clean we found a water snake that almost bit a little girl! I would rate this zero stars.
Awesome place to workout they have every kind of exercise and weight lift equipment you can think of. 2 pools one inside open all year and another outside plus a beach volleyball court. Best of all for family's they have child care 2 hours a day and 9 hours a week. The child care staff is always friendly and really engaged with all the kids.

5 Stars- I have been a member of the Clarksville Athletic Club for almost 15 years and in that time I have always had an excellent experience. The staff, trainers, instructors, and maintenance personnel are all very courteous, professional, and always encouraging. I mainly use their 25 yard pool and they always keep it clean and expertly maintained. A special shoutout to their excellent staff especially Brad, Cheryl, and James along with their superior maintenance staff especially Don and Jim. I look forward to many more years of fun here.

I love this gym, but they take FOREVER to fix machines. I can name about 5 machines that have been down for 2-3 months if not more. Staff is friendly, crazy packed at times, but lots of varieties.
It is hard to rate this gym with 1 star. I have given myself 7 months to post my review, hopeful it would change.
BEWARE DON'T JOIN
1. Old outdated equiptment. Old obsolete dangerous weight machines.
2. Filty equiptment/cardio machines They have sweat soaked towels to clean machines after use.
3. Musky and hot environment...Dirty sauna and bathroom in main area is nasty and always smells.
4. Failure to repair down equiptment. Machines will remain unrepaired for weeks/months on end.
5. If equiptment works it will not display properly or at all.
6. Overcrowded.
7. When asked about repairs the staff makes the excuse of parts taking a while to order.
8..9..10.. DON'T JOIN.. you will be miserable. I have been a YMCA member for over 2 decades..I used Any time Fitness for a year. They are hands down tremendously superior to the CAC. This is a poorly ran athletic club. I can't wait for my year to be over.
Gym is always clean. Plenty of machines and areas that I don't often have to delay a workout while waiting for someone else. Personal trainer program is a great added benefit as well.
Right near me so very close by which is nice. Front staff is okay sometimes but usually look like hate lives up there. Locker rooms and facilities are always clean which is a plus
They have a large amount of equipment options and classes available. They also have childcare as well as child classes included in the family membership which I think is a wonderful feature. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because a lot of the classes aren't actually taught by instructors. They are just video classes on a large screen that play at a scheduled time. Although some of the classes do have actual instructors.

Some of the staff member are real jerks but most of them are very polite. They have a strict and bogus policy so if you dont like being told what to do go to golds. Around 6pm it goes from athletic club to social club so good luck finding a bench or rack.
This place is awesome there is soooo much stuff in here. You'll most likely never have to wait on any equipment of free weights and the people that visit are really friendly.
Awesome place! Very convenient to walk there for Exercise workout shower & Walk home! The monthly Payment is very affordable!
Probably the most expensive fitness place to workout at but they do offer allot.
Love the gym but getting out of the contract is ridiculous and they dont seem like they wanna help you do it.... i wouldnt recommend to anyone in the area thats unsure of exactly how long youll be in clarksville.... If your gonna live there for a few years, have plenty of money then id recommend it.... I like the equipment "athlete room" and the fake smiles the rest is w.e golds is prolly a better deal for your money tbh and less rules

I want an explanation as to why there's a 30 day notice WHEN MY CONTRACT WAS ALREADY UP. Do you have a limit on how many memberships you take? I bet not. This is not a house or a utility, where I need to be replaced as a customer and my spot can only be filled if I'm gone....making a "30 day notice" a fair expectation and ethical business practice. (Which makes this part of the contract especially ridiculous because for both my water and power, it was same day shut off) However in a city where the vast majority of your customer base is constantly being moved because they're military, this practice is simply a way to take advantage. This policy needs to be changed. I say this especially because I was a customer here for over three years, fulfilled the contract and was on a month to month basis. Which means I paid you in the neighborhood of $2,000. It's that important for you and the staff here to squeeze someone for that last little drop of cash? Please help me understand, because the staff couldn't. Feel free to call if there's a reasonable explanation for this.
Going for a swim midday and had the pool to myself. Good facilities well maintained with a friendly staff. All good.
My favorite gym. The owners are wonderful and kind and the equipment is everything I could ever need and more. My kids love going to the kid zone to hang out and play. My husband and I love lifting weights and running on the track. We all love swimming laps and being active here. Worth every penny
