Terrible customer service. Advertised price is higher then the actual cost. When asked about the numbers I was told "I dont know, that's just the price". Good crowd in the gym.
Some of the equipment could be replaced with better quality stuff. Great atmosphere for getting after it!
An amazing place for beginners and advanced a like. Many of the trainers are so encouraging and easy going. If you don't know where to start on your fitness journey I highly recommend Gold's gym.
Update: No more free WiFi...Prices are tiered, sure, but that was a perk for me.
I'd originally given this place a 1 Star, but since the management change, I don't have to walk in and be ignored or worry about the girls up front flirting with everyone's husband or boyfriend.
I do like the daycare but it needs to be managed better. No, it's not a private daycare for gifted kids; however, it is a place that parents depend on so they can work out, and it's the only reason some people come to Gold's versus going somewhere else. It'll take one time for something to happen and the whole place will go down, and it shouldn't take that.
Dress code needs to be handled, still. There are girls who come in,pretty much stand and text, then bend over just enough so everyone can see their junk. They are wearing what looks to be underwear, and that's all.
Occasionally I will get taco bell and post up in the parking lot soul searching for the motivation the folks pulling up and actually getting out seem to have. 5 stars, but the second I get judged I'm editing yo.
Great place for a workout, equipment is clean and has a large selection. Juice bar is great as well, I would give 5 stars if there was a sauna.
I chose this gym over Clarksville Athletic and the YMCA due to the advertised childcare option. I also paid a premium rate for this option. Please resist the urge to do the same!
Your chances of getting childcare availability when you need it is very slim. I've been a member for almost a year and I have had to cancel personal training sessions or miss classes because slots are filled. Save your headache and frustration by making alternate plans. Do not sign up only because of their advertised childcare, space is extremely limited.
Finally, the filter for the water fountain on the floor is usually blanking red, which means that it needs to be replaced. It lingers for about 2 weeks prior to replacement. So, a majority of us typically bring our own water as a result.

Ok at best. The Golds staff is pretty nice. The gym is really nothing special, lots of people standing around setting up cameras to put trash on the internet, and the breakfast club atmosphere.
The location and equipment are fine, besides the overabundance of people in the free weight section. My main problem was the complete lack of respect that I received from the manager and the poor customer service. If you try to find someone higher up than the completely rude manager here you'll be on a wild goose chase. There are no other numbers to call and you'll have to deal with the manager here if you have a problem. She made a mistake and handled the situation completely disrespectfully and I'm surprised no one else has felt the same. Decent gym with decent staff but a lackluster manager who need to be taught how to talk to customers.

Hours and price are great and the staff is pretty friendly, but I was overcharged on my membership fees for several months and wasn't offered any type of refund or compensation, which is annoying since I was charged nearly double what I was supposed to pay. The machines are way too crowded together which could probably be improved by getting rid of some of the treadmills as there are a ton of them that are hardly used. Also, it's not very clean. I saw the same mess (some large hunk of white crumbly stuff that looked like deodorant) for several days. It's in a pretty conspicuous spot, so you can tell they're not doing very thorough daily cleaning.
All in all, it's ok. There's a decent amount of options, the classes I've taken were good, and it's cheap. There's definitely room for improvement though.

Good setup. Good Exercise equipment. People there act like high school kids. A lot of talking and flirting. Workout and gtfo!
I have a love/hate relationship with this gym. It can get pretty busy. I would highly recommend if you're doing bench work to do all of your bench exercises at one time or face the gauntlet next time you try to grab one. My biggest complaint since joining though is that they don't have a hyperextension bench at all which is pretty annoying. But everyone is pretty friendly and the price is fair.
They have a cardio room, free weights, hot yoga, and cycling classes. Everything you can ask for is at Golds Gym. The staff makes me feel comfortable enough to approach and are always willing to help if I don't understand how to use a machine.
Best gym I have found in clarksville. The theatre in cardio room is great but has been down for past week and very limited on movies which is a huge downfall. Also be prepared to be incredibly annoyed by some of the people that work out there on their cell phones while on machines or even chatting with each other taking up 2 and 3 machines at a time, it's always annoying to have to wait 15 to 20 min for the people with no gym ethics to get off a freaking machine. It's not a freaking cross fit gym Jesus. Outside of running into the dummies that work out there that like to do fifty things not including actually working out the place is good and mostly friendly staff, some regulars are culprits of being in the way
Horrible customer service! Read the contract carefully. If you ever want to cancel you have to write a letter to the corporate office, it don't matter if you are going to deploy or have to move for work. It's not like most places where you can just call and cancel.
And if this is not inconvenient enough, the GM will treat you like an idiot when you call and basically tell you "good luck!"
I've called in twice now and both times I was told my membership was canceled, I have now been charged 2 months in a row, and when I called today to see what is going on I was treated like I haven't been a solid member for the past 2 years!
Strongly recommend Clarksville athletic club off of Wilma Rudolph or Anytime fitness off of tiny town.
I currently live in Miami FL and anytime fitness has been an extremely professional gym!
Great atmosphere. Plenty of equipment. Clean facility. Child care. Awesome hours. Friendly staff.
Great clean facility. Has nutrition shop thag is amazing. Not to expensive.
Worst golds gym location I've been to. They never have child care available no matter what time you go. The managers and some of the staff members are rude. They give you the run around about cancelling your membership. According to the contract, you have a 3 day period to cancel your membership without penalty. Of course, they do not cancel it and avoid your phone calls about the issue. Terrible business!
The environment and vast amount of equipment make your workout very productive and enjoyable. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Overall it is just an awesome gym.
