There are always plenty of machines available. Parking can fill up on their busiest evenings, but it's rarely an issue. The weights are often taken up. They might have poor ventilation, but I've never been in a smellier gym. Especially when busy, this place stinks. I just use it for cardio but bought free weights to use at home.
Honest, professional staff! I want to commend the staff at the Providence, Rhode Island location for their professionalism, integrity and expediency. I left my wallet at a treadmill and reported it to the front desk. After I reported the incident, a PF member later found my wallet at the treadmill, took it with her to the locker room, took the money out of it, and when she left the locker room, placed it on the floor and pretended to "find it." The PF staff informed me they witnessed this and even did their own investigation by confirming the activity by video. They were quick to act, and called me. Those employees, Belkis, the manager, and Alex, the front desk person, were incredibly professional and were really quick to act with complete integrity. I'm really impressed and I assume this reflects the culture and values at Planet Fitness. This staff should be commended. I would certainly like to have individuals like this on my team. Kudos for an exemplary display of professionalism!
Parking is real bad. The lot is about a block away (which is not good when you leave there sweating in the winter) and the place is kinda small and over full. The staff is friendly and the equipment was pretty clean.
They play bait and switch. They advertise a certain price and they don't offer that price to you under normal circumstances.
I do not as a matter of conducting business, ever have an automatic withdrawal out of my checking account. I do that solely on my credit card. Not to mention I don't carry a checkbook around with me only a small wallet with a credit card.
They would not take my credit card at all for the advertised price. Then he said I could pay for an entire year in advance on a credit card, but of course that is not at the price advertised, that is for almost double the amount of money.
Absolutely disgusting customer service and disgusting policies. I hope they go out of business.
Solid but small gym with excellent prices, this location is clean for the most part and the employees have always been friendly and helpful with me. The biggest complaints I have are how hard to find parking at peak times, the machines are sometimes broken, and it can get pretty crowded. They run a deal where you can sign up for 25 cents every so often, so that makes up for it.
Been loving the progress I've been seeing. Been getting some amazing results and I'm happy not paying thirty plus dollars to get it too. Only paying ten dollars a month and I consider that a win.
I love it here! The staff is awesome and make you feel comfortable. I heard about the black card benefit that includes the trainer and thought it was a steal. Justin is the trainer in the facility and wow is he amazing. He has build my confidence and I feel knowledgeable about fitness and properly using the equipment. So grateful for staff and planet fitness.
it was great visiting here i seen all the gym equipments they had. its a good place where you can go to exercise. they have alot of great activities that you can do there.
They did not explain the cancellation process and I got charged for 1 month, not only after I cancelled, but I cant use the club for this month either. All they say is "its in your contract" that I signed over a year ago. Technically they are right. But with no explanation and poor customer service I cant help but feel frustrated and no one in the company can seem to help. They just argue their contract point. Do yourself a favor; take your business elsewhere.
Friendly clean and fun to get pumped up I love to workout here anytime come try it

No free squat racks or bench press. Otherwise ok gym but the low rating is for their terrible cancellation policy. I moved states but in order to cancel you have to write an actual letter and mail it to them in order to cancel or return to the facility in person to cancel. You can't cancel over the phone or online or by email. They pitch you lame reasons about it being for "security" purposes but that is of course an excuse so they can squeeze another month of membership while waiting for snail mail.

Nice clean gym. Some of the staff could be nicer and more helpful.

There's terrible parking, it's a very small gym, and they don't even use a.c. pretty unsatisfied honestly. Hopefully they can find a bigger place to rent with a parking lot That can accommodate the number of memberships

Good gym but need better parking lot security!!
Good place to get back in shape and see old friends doing what it takes to stay in shape
Judge free zone. All the equipments work better and safe
I'll let you know. Good place to work out people seem to want to help you
Good gym, i like it, not too packed sometimes. The staff are nice and very welcoming.
Liked everything but for the lack of a play area for children (while parents work out).
That made it a no go for us unfortunately.
Very nice place. And the employes are very friendly.
Convenient spot for anyone living on the West Side/Fed Hill. It's a Planet Fitness, so definitely less expensive than other area gym options, which is always a plus. I've only gone right after work (~6 PM) or after on week nights, but has never been too crowded so far, which is another plus. Having been to a few PFs before, this is probably one of, if not the, better one I've been to.
This gym has a, "get what you pay for" vibe. You are not going to find any technology on the machines. For example, there are no televisions on the treadmills like I've seen at other locations that charge the same monthly rate. Also they removed the scales out of the locker rooms. I'm not quite sure why a gym would ever do this. The whole reason I joined was to get in shape, and part of that is checking my weight on a weekly basis. Now I can't even weigh myself at the gym that I pay for! When the desk attendant told me that they recently removed the scales, I thought she was joking. I find this very frustrating and I plan to cancel my membership. Otherwise, it's an okay gym I guess, if you like purple and bright yellow walls.
Not the best. Women's locker room needs a SERIOUS UPGRADE. Bench in handicapped shower broken, bubbled flooring. "Nobody knows" anything about the problems. The PF on Ann Mary St. in Pawtucket is much nicer.
It really is the "no judgement zone." Everyone there is super accepting and just does their own thing. And the price is really great with all the features you get, like personal training and various kinds of one-on-one sessions.
